Yes were were beaten by a team wanting a win more than us and it was fully deserved. Thought we got off lightly was expecting you to get 4 or 5.
Well the league would suggest otherwise. We're disappointed because we're better than that. One of the worse performances of the season from us. And no, you didn't make us play like that. Still think QPR will struggle to get out of the mire. Shame.
I have of course looked ay our run in but we are winning matches as are Blackburn/Wigan/Bolton, dont be too sure of your safety just yet!!
I think thats probably right, but we can't get complacent - we are no longer totally safe and if we go on a horrific run at the end of this season it'll run into the next...look what happened to bolton! On the night, absolutely. doesn't mean people here need to get over themselves though because QPR are not a good team...crap wum.
As McCarthy said tonight can you really see 3 of the bottom 5 teams squeezing another 10 points? No I can't either even if by some miracle we can win 3 more games. You'll be fine and those performances against city and arsenal show what you can do. You just seem to have become a one trick pony at the moment. You looked more likely to score when you launched the ball long
Well played QPR and good luck in your quest to stay up.... I think you will make it (the three promoted sides bucking the bookies odds would be awesome and a credit to last years Championship seaon). BR/the players needs to realise they are not the finished article no matter the press talk, however I trust in BR's quest for knowledge in the game/humility and hope we will be a different team next year... IN THE PREM! Now who is saying a plan B is not required? STID
"QPR really aren't a great team?" Get over yourself, you've shipped 7 goals and scored 0 in your last 2 visits. All this hype about your beautiful passing has gone to your heads, any team can pass it 20 times between the keeper and centre backs. You are a boring team to watch with no penetration. My best guess is we will be very close to your points tally at the end of the season.
Have to agree with some of the original post. 1. Defiantly, Rodgers still has masses of work to be a top 6 manager. The severe lack of a Plan B being the obvious one, if we are in the mire during the game I'm not too sure he knows how to get us out of it...thank god this winless streak has come when we are basically safe!! But the players need to take a bit of blame as surely they can recognise when something isnt working on the pitch and have the nouse to change 2. Hardly the managers fault as the board hasn't really give him that much money for game changers or have a half decent bench!! 3 & 4. He is out of form as he isn't scoring as our service to him is ****! Have to agree with a previous post suggesting that at time siggi is detrimental as he doesnt like to feed the striker at all so currently I'm not to fussed whether we sign him or not. Ironically the big clubs will see this flaw and not go for him which will enhance out chances of signing him. 5. Hopefully being found out will help with game plans for next season. This is why i like Lambert...plan is changed per opponent, where we currently hope plan a will work everytime even.if we get dissed out. 6. Can't agree with this. The old form and class argument. we play this **** and we ate in greater danger of losing players this summer. 7. Scott has been found out at this level, need improvement next season or look to replace him. 8 + 10. Not sure its confidence but more fitness thats causing the limp over the line, we looked tired!! 9. No it really isn't at all 11 + 12. Both have been shocking the last month, Williams has been at fault for the majority of our goals since coming back for the Everton game...needs to buck ideas up...but new RB needs to be on the shopping list next season!! Bottom 3 in the next 3 games...have to be looking at a minimum of 4....or lose them all and win the last 2 game
I don't think anyone is disagreeing. We've had enough piss poor performances of our own to know when a team isn't at the races.
WE JUST NEED 3 POINTS! but how the hell we are going to score goals at the mo is beyond me! sqeeky bum time methinks! Saturday will be an indicator whether we have any fight in us. Brendan apologised and so he should NJ you spoke the truth bud!
Don't be beating yourselves up too much, you've already got 39 pts AND 5 more games to add to it; I can think of a few teams besides my own who wouldn't mind being in that 'predicament'! Relax, you're more than safe, but you need to beat the other drop candidates now just in case....
I know last nights performance was by far our worsed this season but will all this frustration still be vented if we go and win our next 3 games? I think not... we all need to realise we've had our best season to date as SWANSEA CITY FC and that hasnt happened without putting in a shift week in week out. We've done enough to stay up and that was our goal at the start of the season. Job done i say, anything else is now a bonus. We'll go away in the summer recharge, hopefully add quality in depth and hit the ground running. What ever happens win, lose or draw we'll always be Swansea City wales' premier football club. S.T.I.D
I hate myself for this but the QPR fans were shouting "Boring boring Swansea" and I was agreeing with them. I've rarely been so embarrassed as a Swans fan. Shocking. just as i have been saying for ages.....thats not football....thats pass the parcel...
Excellent thread NJ. Brendan has, quite rightly, been apologetic to the travelling fans on this most dismal of displays. Perhaps as well as a win bonus for the players, they should also have a losing "take some money away from them" bonus, for them not turning up. Perhaps the travelling fans should also be reimbursed their full costs by the club for a wasted trip down the M4. P.S. Agree Dai, not only is it pass the parcel, it`s pass the parcel backwards as far as possible.
