"Been propping up the table half the season" didn't have the same ring to it. Artistic licence! <laugh>

I agree that losing to Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle was, for the use of no better word, acceptable. We competed in the games, had decent chances and probably should have scored some points. Yes, we lost the games, but we at least looked good and competent.

In the game against QPR, we looked second best everywhere. In this respect, it is a bit of a one off. What was disappointing was that in the past when we've lost, during games that we should be targeting a win, we've put in huge performances. This time, in a match that we could've won, we went missing and were rightfully hammered. That's the worrying aspect of Wednesday night. We'd had 2 days extra rest and preparation (add that QPR had to travel back from Manchester on the Sunday as well), yet we still looked completely out of ideas.

However, hopefully we can draw a correlation to Norwich when they beat us at the Liberty. They went on to lose 4 games on the trot after that but have managed to now kick on again (they beat Wigan 2-1 at home to stop the rot). I hope that the Blackburn game can be our version of this and we can then kick on without fear until the end of the season. If we have a similar off-game tomorrow, it will be difficult to see us turning things around before the end of the season. Thankfully, I think we're already safe...
