    NZ You obviously live not far from where I used to be!! Was Jade stadium then!! Just changed from Lancaster park! I agree the name is too topical at the mo!,However the Crusaders has been a good and successful name for them ,and will never forget the knights on horseback running around before a game!!

    Norway, the knights on horses still went round before the game last season. There was still a lack of atmosphere at the ground though. Nothing near as good as the Vic.
    I have to go to work now. It is dawn on a glorious autumnal morning. We had a storm last night and I've just noticed that the Chicken coop has blown over, but now the sun is rising and there is snow on the mountains in the distance. Must check the chooks.

    Independent Norway, franchise fees are expensive...and since i'm only supposed to be part time it wouldn't be worth it really to be tied to a school.

    Evening All,

    Back from my weekend of over indulgence in good food and wine. ;) The music at the dinner last night was provided by a very strange mixture of aged French and British, with a strong liking for Johnny Cash. The French lead singer did sound very much like him, but had to be in his late seventies or even early eighties. It was well supported, but a variation in style would have been good.

    Today it was raining on and off, so we spent some time in the Dixieland Jazz Bar. Despite having some UK beers on offer it does not capture the atmosphere of a British pub on a Sunday lunch time. :(

    Back on a light diet this week I think.

    I read the report of Skotland and Brasilía and that Don Cowie was substitute with Craig Mackail-Smith. I hope DC was talking quietly so CMS wishes to come to the Hornets next season for when Peterborough do not climb up.

    Census done, though I'm not sure all the questions will produce data which is useful...several invite some fairly subjective responses.

    Some questions which do not appear but which ought to be incorporated in 2021, assuming the whole thing hasn't been abandoned by then:

    1. Would you prefer your Council Tax to be spent on (a) education (b) health (c) free beer?

    2. Should the National Curriculum be expanded to include (a) family budget management (b) how to grow your own vegetables (c) the off side laws?

    3. Are you in favour of devolution for (a) Yorkshire (b) The Isle of Wight (c) Watford?

    :cheesy:

    <laugh>

    1) Would hope that, by then, Councils will have no role in the delivery of Education

    2) I already teach (b) and (c). Unfortunately, I've failed at teaching (a) to my wife <doh>
