After a run of poor results I was thinking is Warnock making a point to Bates how much we need to invest in the team properly (not loans or ageing players) with these defeats.

11th position now and our season all but over is a very poor season..

When Grayson was here we seem to pull out last minute goals for draws making us look better than we were so Bates never had to pull his finger out an address the issue.

I know it sounds ludicrous to suggest you would lose games but NW is a canny old bugger and what better way to get investment than finishing mid table and making a plea that with say 5 new players we can push for Playoffs or Auto's.

We have been moaning about the lack of quality of depth in our squad for a long time and with Grayson managing to get alot more than he should have out of the team (Fair play to him) we were never going to see investment.

With our attendances dropping and our League position following suit - Losing is almost the only way to get the much needed investment.

I really believe NW is the man to propel this club back to the heights and he knows what he is doing -

Im now checking the results on Final Score etc without any real hope which is depressing but I have faith for next season as long as Bates gets ghis cheque book out - Here's dreaming...

So what do you lot think?

Never really thought of it that way. Wouldn't put it past NW. He's a canny old bugger, as you say.

I think you are trying to see light where there is only dark. It is the ever present feeling of "We've still got a chance".

But Bates has already made it clear that we do not spend money we do not have, the player budget (inc transfer fees) will be less than spent this year, and we have a load of players on the books we don't want but can't shift.

"All but over season" is another one of those statemenerts, clining to the idea that possibly by some miracle we could salvage something.

Our season was all but over after the first game v Southampton. It showed how far off we were, and we stayed that far off. We lost Johnson and Kilkenny, our summer explosion of activity never came because it was all lies, we sold Gradel, lost Kisnorbo and Howson, failed to strengthen in the January window, sold Howson, sacked the manager, lost our loanees, and have won a couple in 10. We played well in a handful of matches all season. That's only 10%.

It's gonna take a miracle to make us competitive next season, never mind actually knock on the promotion door.

And Bates is asking us to pay top 5% of prices for this mediocre shiite. And some still pay it.

I'd say youre some bundle of fun

I'd say you are making up daft stuff (NOBODY PLAYS TO LOSE - GET IT - see Mighty's post) but what I would also say is that your lack of realism is the equivalent of sticking your head in sand

Not even 1% of me believes Warnock picks a team to lose, we haven't the players, quality or depth to win important games at the moment. Look at the Reading game, McCormack rattles the post with an excellent effort, Snodgrass misses a sitter, that could have been 2-0 up and a whole different ball game.

**** me Mick that for me is the all time best ever comment deserving a SB trophy <laugh> in its short history whoever started it <whistle>

**** Warnock losing games on purpose - you couldn't make it up but Ken did so perhaps he's got too much time on his hands in Corrie <laugh>

Think he should stick to acting <whistle>

i think his suggestion isnt quite as daft as it seems <ok>

Swindon lost loads of games last season and got promotion this season <laugh><laugh>

Hey AKCJ are you sure your knickname is not "thrush"

because you are one irritating ****, now go away and bother someone else

To the well known conspiracy theories, JFK, Roswell, the Moon landings etc, can we now add 'Warnock deliberately loses games' to the list?

Is this the Millwall board?

Yiou got 5 games to ensure you don't get relegated. Can you do it?

Away at Portsmouth and Cov, then Leicester and Blackpool dick you at home. The one game I reckon you may have a chance in is away at Ipswich.

But in reality, is it really so boring on your own board you have to come over here? How do you coordinate it - text msg?
