    Are we?

As a team personally I think we are, look at the goals from the midfield when Bent was here, everything had to go through him

Look at us now and the goals are spread around the side. I don't think Sess would flourish playing off a Darren Bent type IMO

It was great having him here but I wouldn't have him back (as some would) because of this fact

Bent the best striker the club has seen since SKP...

Gonna have to disagree here, he is exactly what we need.

We had a different midfield then as well. Bruce knew we had a problem with a lack of goals from midfield and signed midfielders that can score goals.

We're a better team without him, and the goals are more spread out and if we could start fresh with him I would, but we can't and I don't want him back

As a team, maybe. However I think you missed his cutting edge. It is the reason why I think you would be foolish to get rid of Gyan, regardless of his antics.

We need a couple of strikers who are not Bent and Gyan but are as good as Bent and Gyan.

There is the problem. They dont grow on trees and we had two to begin with and lost them. Bent would flourish under MoN and Gyan would too but would we really want either back...............Mmmmmmm!!

Bent would score hatfuls of goals in this team and its a crying shame things went the way they did.

I'm suprised that you wouldn't like to see Bent or Gyan play for SAFC under Martin O'Neill.

Picking up the quality of a striker as good as either of those two isn't a straight forward feat and it's a shame they were out of the door not much later than when they came through the door. I can forgive any player for leaving SAFC whilst under the guidance of Steve Bruce.

I would love to see Gyan play under MoN

For me Gyan on his day is as good as anyone, he is so unpredictable you don't know what he is going to do and he can score all sorts of goals.

Him with Sess just off him would be fantastic

Don't be so hasty! Can you blame him for being disillusioned under Bruce. A lot of you guys were feeling the same way he did. We all deserve 2nd chances in life. MO'N may get the best out of Gyan and you could have yourself a top drawer striker.

I think Gyan is a quality player if he can be arsed but I'd be very doubtful about his ambition after his decision to spend 12 months playing pub football in the middle east over being part of the EPL.

I would love to see what Gyan and Marty could do together but I fear that the crowd would be less forgiving of Gyan if he came back and didnt give 100% from the off.

Bent is just a non starter, which is a shame for him and us.

We need Bents goals deffo. But what sort of shape is Gyan going to be in after a season playing second rate football ?

Fat and pretty unfit is my guess. If MON thinks he can be usefull I'll back him to the hilt , but my thoughts are get what we can for him and get rid.

I would love Gyan back BUT

The above is exactly my concern. I just don't Gyan has the bottle to play for us but I would be happy to be proved wrong. As other have said, IF it came out Bruce was the reason he left then he deserves a 2nd chance.

Bent is a non starter really but never say never.

We're a better team with O'Niell, without him we'd still probably be struggling.
