To try to prove himself in the PL......that is high in a lot of managers wish list in order to prove themselves..and he might just might think Spurs are a good project...however i really dont know much about him.

Conte was at Juventus from 1991 to 2004, including time as their captain.
He won 5 titles, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup and an Italian Cup.

Juve may be unbeaten, and in the CL places, but they're four points behind Milan with nine games to go - also, Juve's financial footing isn't as strong as it used to be, given a lot of their squad are part of co-ownership agreements and so forth. They can invest, but they also want to spread the risk - something that won't happen at Spurs.

Also, several of Juve's squad are nearing the end of their careers - notably Buffon, Pirlo and Del Piero - and two of them will be hard to replace.

so it is a club he loves obviously..i think moving anywhere for him will be a bit of a culture shock then..and we could go one of 2 ways....with one being that he could do a Juande Ramos?

i wouldnt want Spurs to be the ones who take that risk...which brings us to our old debate of who do we get? someone proven seems like the safest bet..as we really do need to push on to look like we are moving up a notch as a club.

Money! But why risk coming to England and possibly making a Conte out of himself?

2 points behind with 8 to go, Croydon, but I understand what you're getting at with regards to finances.
Considering the leeway that the fans are likely to give him at Juve though, he'd be mad to leave.

Had to use Wikipedia, as the Gazetta Dello Sport website spazzes out my work computer something chronic.

Juve do tend to have loyalty from their players - Del Piero has been there for years, Buffon and Nedved stayed when they were demoted, Ferrara and deschamps have both coached the club, Pessotto attempted suicide when Juve were punished the heaviest over Calciopoli - which you don't get in the Premier League.

Well, just to be sure, can somebody dig up some dirt that sees Chelsea demoted and see if Terry or Lampard jump from a fourth-story balcony?

  8. Fat Frank wouldn't get up the stairs, and Terry can't breathe, so the prospects don't look very good.
