I think it's safe to say that some of our best players will leave in the summer, the likes of Stewart, Chester, Koren, Rosenior and even perhaps Fryatt will want success quicker than what we're achieving at the moment, depending if the Allams want to give Barmby some transer kitty who do you think we should sign in the summer, I would like two new strikers, a tall, strong striker with a powerful shot, my favourite one at the moment is Gary Madine who plays for Sheff Wednesday, I think a pretty speedy striker also with a good eye for goal but always hangs on the last man so he can break the offside trap, either Bradley Wight-Philips or Emile Sinclair would fit that bill. Another decent winger, Chris Humphrey who plays for Motherwell and Adam Hammill on a season long loan as I don't rate Brady at all for another season. If Chester leaves a centre back would be a priority, Danny Collins from Stoke would be a decent signing, he's currently on loan at West Ham and he will fill the gap more than most. We also need another defensive midfielder imo, this may be a risk due to injuries but he is a quality player and he is quite far down the pecking order at Swansea but I think Ferrie Bodde would be a decent signing, McKenna is a cracking midfielder but to add more competition to both him and Evans Bodde would be sort of an Ashbee player who is passionate determined footballer who will lead the team like Ashbee did all those years. If we lose both Rosenior and Koren in the summer an attacking midfielder is needed, either Ambrose or Boyd from Peterborough would be good choices, finally Mark Wilson at Celtic, he is something like 4th or 5th choice right-back at Celtic but he is still a quality player and he would be decent in the championship. These would be my targets as manager, but out of curiosity who would you want at City?

The players you mentioned would demand decent fees, there will be very little if any money available for transfers in the summer.

Where are all these "New" posters coming from? Strange that they all "come out" after yesterday.

Why if we lose Rosenior would we need an attacking midfielder, has he been playing at right back for us all this time as a ploy?

there's too much twitching going on this weekend, knee-jerk reactions and the usual doom mongers.. I'm not sure how many people realise that you can give 100% sometimes on a football pitch, not play well and lose..

I said IF we lose Rosenior and Koren their replacements would be another right-back obviously and another attacking midfielder, who knows if some of the players will stay or leave I was just being hypothetical of what transfer targets you would like to see, and what a suprise no one has said who they would want at the club, just more arguing amongst peoples opinions.

Rather a low IQ response, that, to the point posed.

Like I said it would be a risk trying to sign him but when he plays he plays with passsion and gives 100% every gaem like Ashbee did, unlike some of our current players who are so lack luster and unmotivated their heads went down after 13 minutes. It's my opinion James, this thread was to ask who you would like to see us sign in the summer, so who would you like us to sign?

The point about 'only coming out after yesterday' was an equally moronic post was it not?

Not someone who gives Hargreaves a run for his money for least games played over the past two years.
Erm off the top of my head,
    if we have money
    Madine
Tyrone Barnett (even though he's at peterborough)
    Henderson
    Pittman
    Templeton & Driver

But if we're skint I'm not sure who's available on a free. I'd like us to try and get Nick's lad and King back

I would think we'll do everything we can to hold onto all of them. We are not making any noises about spending money (as of yet) so the last thing the Allams will do is flog off the best players as it will leave us in a total mess.

And another thing, after the 5hit way in which we are ending/about to end this season...... don't be amazed if funds do become available (either for bosman signings, transfer fees or both) because it's pretty clear to all and sundry that our squad has no strength in depth and is needing at least one new striker who can put the ball in the net.

This will not have been missed by the board!

Why? If you cannot perceive the inference, my friend, I think it is not I that deserves the "moron" label.

You are suggesting that us 'newbies' are coming on these boards to post purely because we got turned over yesterday and kept quiet when things were going well, which is a pretty ignorant standpoint.

Call me controversial but losing Koren in the summer may be good for us. Yes he is top a ten best championship player, however we have to play around him so we can get the best out of him. If we were to lose him, we wouldnt need to replace him as I would hope we could adopt a 442 and get a decent winger in although imo stewart and garcia could do that job with brady (if signed), and even mclean as backup. We have four decent centre midfielders in mckenna, evans, cairney, and olifinjana (although he needs to improve on his last outing). Sign Gerrard on a free and thats the centrebacks covered for experience. And try and get Jozy back on a loan to see if he can do in the championship what we hoped he would do in the prem......SCORE! Could also try and tempt myhill and ricketts back on a free as fullback cover. I think that would be at least a playoff team.

    Mannone/Myhill
    Rosey Chester Hobbs Dudgeon
    Garcia Mckenna Evans Stewart
    Altidore Fryatt

Back cover of Ricketts Dawson Cooper Bradley
    Centre mid cover Cairney Olifinjana
    Wing cover Brady Mclean Barmby!
Fwd Cover Mclean Simpson Cullen Barmby!

    Decent squad imo.
