Oh my days, getting rid of him would be ridiculous. Look at the caliber of players that have joined and said it was after talking to McInnes like Wood and McMannus etc. We have too many **** players from previous managers clogging up the wage bill, simples.

Mcinnes should be with us next season in League 1 to build his own team ( permanent signings not loan), he deserves a pre season at least to get rid of the remaining ****e at this club. This team is still the core of Johnson/ Millen.

Even though I didn't agree with the tactics playing with 1 up front. But sometimes you can only show that hand you are dealt with.

People forget that against Watford we played 2 up front and were awfull, Pitman feeds on good service if he don't get it tends to wander around looking for it the wrong position. Pitman always has a point to prove when he comes on as a sub, but someone on the radio phone in last night mentioned that no one celebrated with Brett for his goal, i never seen it as I was jumping around and not seen tv footage choose to get pissed last night, but if true it shows that there is something not right.

Albert has been a player who can beat players but distribution terrible. We played more of a unit without him. We need wingers who can pass into the dangerous area so Pitman and Stead stay central not come out looking for the ball all the time.

I said to a friend at half time who thought we should of had Jones. McInnes has not been backed in transfers, he has to try and keep us in the division with what he has, he has only bought one player. Come the end of season clear out and rebuild the team to suit him. Jones would of struggled with what we have.

Someone else said of the last 3 loan signings they heard that McInnes has been following them for weeks and told that he couldn't have them, only injuries allowed him to get them in. Apparently SL has been put off with loan signings from GJ.

So yes we have been ****e, but I will still support McInnes. But only because I think he will do the right thing and get rid of the rubbish or preseason transform them into fighters.

Sorry but I'm not convinced with Del what so ever.
Excuses, excuses why we are in the mess we find ourselves in......Sorry, he's had the time to sort it......But a lot of his decisions IMO have not improved from Millens.
If we get relegated, will he be the man to bring us back up? My answer to that is, No, in fact I would go as far as to say, we will struggle in league 1 with the set-up we have.
Loads of you are saying, he will bring in his own players etc......of what I've seen so far, I'm not excited what so ever.

Down to the board for me......AGAIN, not the right appointment.

the players he has brought in

Pearson - nobody can fault him
Wood - why wouldn't we of signed him if given the opportunity to
Foster - Utility man, very impressed so far
McManus - we have ALL said he has been the best CB at this club for a long time

as for the rest they've not been here long enough but im sure they will prove there worth when we stay up ALWAYS BELIEVE

All bar one are loan signings, you don't always get great pickings on loan signings towards the end of seasons!

And I agree with all Shinys comments on them as well.

    Pearsons OK,
Wood, sorry I don't rate, one trick pony. Not my kind of forward.
Foster, he's ok, looks good in a very poor set-up.
    McManus, best of the pickings..

Sorry, none of it is special, Now, wether that's down to the manager or the board not backing what he wants for me is the vital question.

    Always Believe I understood a few seasons back.......but now, I can't.

I'm in a quandary, now I think we have the best owner in the football league, our board is new and still developing apart from our old buffer of a chairman (Sexstone),our management team have been chasing shadows with their hands tied behind their backs ever since they took over,a lot of the playing staff will be gone in 12 weeks, the ground issues are resolving and our fansbase is for patent reasons dissatisfied but a successful pre-season will soon sort that out.

Now my quandary is will we be better off without all of this baggage and Sexstone or not..?

I think McInnes is a young hungry manager and will turn out to be a good choice for us. We are not a "sexy" club and cannot expect to attract big name players or management staff. We need to take a page from Swansea's book and build from within. Get a core group of young players and then add a few choice signings.

Relegation, whilst not exactly appealing right now, may be the kick up the rear that is needed. Just look at Soton & Norwich - it allowed them to focus on the core of the club and move forward.

Obviously I hope we avoid the drop but right now I simply cannot see us getting ahead of Coventry who have suddenly woken up and are playing for their lives.

I believe in McInnes. I believe in Lansdown. I believe that Sexstone is a complete waste of space.

But we are not Southampton or Norwich.....It took us 10 years the last time we were relegated..
You are deluded if you think we will come straight back up.

Both clubs mentioned are well run clubs. Norwich, even though they were relegated to league 1, still had the backing of 22000 season ticket sells. Let's see what happens, if we go down, we will be lucky hitting the 10000 mark....Bristol, being at least four times the size.

You need to have consistant sucess to attract bigger crowds. As I've said before, we are not progressing but going backwards.
    Complete shamples IMO.

If SL has any love for the club, he would come back to Bristol, move back onto the board and bloody sort it out. OR maybe we need to look for a new buyer.

As onefor says, Norwich and Soton have much bigger fan bases than us so you can't compare.
Sheff Wed weren't looking like coming back up - until they got in a new manager.
They are a huge club compared to us - and their neighbours are bigger too.

I don't have any confidence that we have the setup or momentum to come straight back up.

I can't make up my mind about Del yet - there are too many unknowns still.

    - Has he been backed with who he wants to bring in - or have his signings been a compromise
with what the board are prepared to finance?

    - Is his failure to make an impact down to the quality of players or his inability to
motivate them and play them in a formation that suits them (I don't know)

    - Look at Soton. It has taken Adkins 18 months to get them from the bottom half
of L1 to the brink of the Premier. And he hasn't spent a fortune. Were his palyers that
good all along or is it down to his astute management??

I wouldn't want to change McInnes at the end of the season UNLESS we have someone
lined up with a good pedigree who will clearly know what he is doing (and who wants the job).
Too many gambles have been taken and not paid off in the last few years. Lets play it safe
for a change and lower the odds of success!

This is the reason I still back Del, I believe if the board were 100% in backing they would of allowed him to buy his way in January not just bring in one player and rely on loans.

We are not the big club some believe us to be, yes we have a big catchment area but when you think 12700 turned up yesterday when they needed the fans backing was poor. We have to many fans that walk out to quick and we always boo when things don't go our way. Bob Taylor said somewhere City are the most fickle fans he has played for.

I believe that there is more to come
