Agbonlahor would in my opinion be an excellent signing for us; I'm nnot so sure about Dunne whose best days are behind him...Having said that, it must be said that this speculation comes from a tabloid, so is therefore probably a pile of ****e...

As you should know I am a BIG fan of Agbonlahor and would welcome him. Infact I would fly to the UK and drive him to Sunderland myself! He would make a big difference to our team.

I would also welcome Dunne. He maybe getting on, but he is still strong and thats what we need.

This rumour does nothing for me..

Neither for nor against if they could happen....

Just seems like a side step and not a forward one, not a backward as well mind..

But are these the next level players?

Yes Agbonlahor is a step forward...and probably Dunne. We need a St, Agbonlahor has pace, strength and can score. Dunne is solid and better than what we have at the minute.

Maybe mate, like i said, i'm just not sure..

Gabby stats are 53 goals in 206 apps, suggests he's far from prolific....but he has pace galore, he kinda reminds me of how i think Campbell will turn out.

    As for Dunne...isn't he a c/b? wouldn't say he's better than O'Shea or Brown..

Well I bet nobody saw that one coming, 2 Villa players linked with us, every day brings a fresh surprise. How long before Heskey is seen at Seaham Hall, should we open a book?

I wouldn't be suprised if we saw Heskey linked....TBH I wouldn't be suprised we saw him in a Sunderland shirt. After all he is MON type, used as a counterfoil for somebody like Agbonlahor.

If MON does go back to Villa for his old boys, who would you want?

The author of this article is ALAN NIXON, you remember, the guy who said Kevin Phillips was going to The Scum when he was writing for The People.

If this guy told me what day it was I would check the calendar.

Heskey will be on a free. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him at Sunderland. MON does like him and suits how he likes to play football.

Pace galore, that's true Comm, reminds me of myself when I was 19.

Should be aiming for better than Agbonlahor. You need goals, and the most he's ever delivered in one season was a ratio of 1 in 3, which was a while back. In the last two seasons it's been more like 1 in 5.

I know he's been played as a winger a lot, but he's never shown much beyond average goalscoring ability. Would be worth aiming a tad higher for someone who can maintain a good 1 in 2 record or even more.

Id rather have cuellar for free at the end of the year than pay over the odds for Dunne.

    Albrighton, Nzogbia, Agbonlahor for me

Not sure how kieran Clark is getting on, very highly rated young centre back. Haven't heard much about him this season.
