Would love Sunderland to get there but don't like the original post at all. I would go even further and say it would be brilliant if Sunderland got to the final and denied the mags european place even if they do finish 6th. However, there are two huge ifs in Everton and then maybe Liverpool. The facts are both of those sides are capable of beating Sunderland. The poster who said 'crying little mackems' is a bit rich as its geordies who are famed for crying on tv all the time. PS Is check tiote the softest 'hard man' ever knocked out by sessengon ffsake he's 4 ft 6.
Personally I hate seeing fans post these type of threads before a match - it will only come back and bite you Shameless if we get beaten!
If we beat Everton I fancy us to get into Europe (through a Final with Chelsea!)
But, as Travelsick said early in this post - how many times have we beaten Everton at home (or at all for that matter!!) - Gladly take a 2nd best NE Club title with a winning FA Cup - that'd make you jealous - but I make no predictions and never gloat about games before they start!!

Good shout, it's like the build up to the derby matches. I refuse to make a prediction or take the piss cause I believe it jinxes you. It will royally come back to bite you on the arse.
I made a bet with a mate who supports neither team a tenner that NUFC would finish above SAFC, we went down that season

Such a big shout from the OP though from being in the quarters. I think we are genuinely worried since teams only have to make the final to take Europe these days, but Everton then Liverpool aren't easy games at all.

1. We woule like to still be in the Cup, but would prefer to be 6th in hte league;
2. It would be extremely annoying if either you or Everton (but especially you) stole the 6th place Europa slot by making it to the final;
3. That is unlikely to happen though. You're the slight underdog in both the Everton and Liverpool matches. If we say you have a 40% chance in each game, that gives you a 16% of winning both matches;
4. If you atually won the cup, you could legitimately brag all you like, wherever we finish in the league. Chance of that cna't be more than 5% though;
5. Unless you can make the final, this is our year to brag

Quite right. The best course is to have the clear right to brag but to refrain, due to fine breeding, from using it.

They haven't won the thing.
They haven't reached the final / Europe.
They haven't even reached the Semi-Final yet...
But they are bragging about earning a Quarter Final Replay, to a team that are 6th in the League... and expect us to be jealous...
Baffling I guess it's all relative though, shows how tragic life as a Sunderland fan must be when you celebrate these sort of achievements.
