I think Liverpool will get distracted by FA cup, and drop silly points. This will allow us to fall over the line in sixth place. Then Pardew needs to act quick in the summer and sign quality players not quantity.

7th, but only by the skin of our teeth. Liverpool will be 6th and we will be closer to 8th and 6th points-wise i reckon, the bin-dippers will come good (unfortunately)
Maybe even 8th or 9th if the teams below us put together a good run. Everton look the most likely to do this, looking at their run-in it's one of the easiest of the top half of the table teams.

I'll be gutted if we finish above them, but Everton or s*nderland get into Europe via the cup.

Don't even think things like that, never mind saying them.

6th for me, staying positive.
I hope we beat Liverpool at our place.
We need to win this weekend, Pardew says he wants 5 wins from 10 games, so we only need 4 wins.
I think he'll be targetting this week as one of those winnable games.
Even though past experience at the Hawthorns hasn't been too kind. :D

I'm going with 6th beating the scousers on the way and do I want to beat city and let manure win the league hmmm tough one

anyone confident that we'll beat Liverpool obviously hasn't been watching us play recently.

Sorry, but we haven't been particularly good since Man Utd - second half against Sunderland aside.

Cabaye has looked very poor recently, there's been no service for our strikers, and we're hoofing the ball over the top too much.

Ironically, Ameobi has been one of the best peformers for us in his sub appearances, because of the direct style.
Ba and Cisse need balls to run onto, crosses in front of them. They look lost most of the time. With good creation behind them, those two would be knocking them in for fun.

Ben Arfa is the new Laurent Robert. 5 mins of brilliance, then the rest of the match missing or giving away the ball.

Williamson has looked very suspect, getting turned and beaten for pace, and too many stray balls.

Santon is good going forward but beaten to often going back as he's always out of ****ing position.

Simpson has been great, so many off-the-line clearances, but it seems every game he'll forget whats going on, wander out of position, and let through an attack that will lead to a goal. He can't seem to concentrate for the full 90 mins (kinda Bramble-esque)

Gutierez, Tiote & Colo are our rocks. Raylor's presence has been missed. Perch has done well in his sub appearances. Obertan...he's a *nearly* man...

We're looking like less than the sum of our parts, is what I'm trying to say.

I understand where you'e coming from.

I think the main problems are:

- neither Ba nor Cisse hold the ball up well

- when we are put under pressure, we tend to hoof the ball

- this results in more pressure, as the ball comes straight back, our strikers not being able to hold it up.

Plus some of our players, Ba and Cabaye in particular, look out of sorts lately.

For West Brom, I'd start Ameobi up front with Cisse, put Tiote in for Cabaye and keep the rest of the squad from the Norwich match. Ameobi is fresh (as he shuld be given the amount of pitch time ha's had) and keeps the ball quite well. The advantage of a big man in the boxwho can play people in like Cisse and HBA (who I think you're a bit hard on) shouldn't be underestimated.

Let Ba rest his legs a bit, and come onin the last 20 minutes if needed. Also, remind everyone that they will be dropped if they don't perform.

Admittedly we're not in great form, but neither is any one else aside from Arsenal. I think we'll manage to stay more or less where we are
