Bit quiet on here tonight, so I thought I'd trawl through a few youtube videos. Despite a terrific save from our greatest ever 'keeper*, Ray Graydon followed up his penalty to score. However, I've just noticed the ball wasn't properly placed on the penalty spot, I demand a re-match !

<laugh>

I also remember (in fact I'll NEVER forget), when Everton put out a weakened team in the last match of the 1984-85 season against Coventry. Everton were already Champions and Coventry needed to win by I think 3 goals to avoid relegation and send us down. Coventry did it and despite us winning the League Cup that same year, we went down ! can anyone else remember a time when "we was robbed"

* IMO

in line,

I remember at Maine Road first season in the 1st divison,we were 1-0 down when, and I was right in line behind it, Dave Stringer lashed in a free kick from 25 yards and it was disallowed for offside. Corrigan never saw the ball let alone the player in the offside position. We ende up losing 0-3 but that was the turning point.

I can't remember what year it was but it was early seventies, we were playing Leicester at Carrow Road. In the last minute the Leicester forward took a shot, it hit the side netting but the ref gave a goal ! We lost the match <grr>

"You wuz robbed" when we done you lot 5-0 in the "Demolition Derby", you was all over us, we just got lucky and hit you five times on the break... <laugh>

You was probably robbed when Col Who done you 1-7, probably for the same reason...

;)

You certainly weren't robbed in our two games last season.<ok>

<laugh>

The Fergie stopwatch at Sheffield Wednesday robbed us of the premiership.

And the Heysal disaster robbed us of European football.

Kickoff bor. Vividly !!!!! What I term political football. Coventry not so far for them to travel, hence their decision to not bother with winning. Thing is they still have to travel to Carrow Road where I feel sure they will get a warm reception!!!

1975 FA Cup Semi Final against Wet Sham

Clive Thomas ruled 2 perfectly good goals off side the Welsh ****!!! The linesman was even running back to half way so how the **** could he rule them offside!

my dad always mentions this! to put it politely he said he 'went bananas' at the officials...

<ok>

I can't believe that your old man supports Ipswich and you support Norwich! Was it an act of teenage defiance on your part! <laugh> I would never allow my boys to support my bitter rivals! Thankfully both my boys are die hard Ipswich fans, the brainwashing worked from an early age!

<laugh> he still isn't happy about it, as you can imagine. my brother also supports norwich but both my parents support ipswich! we were brought up near norwich as youngsters and my old man couldn't afford to take either of us to drive us back and forth to games at ipswich but the father of my best mate from school was able to get free tickets for kids through work at carrow road and because all my friends supported norwich (or liverpool, arsenal or man united) i was drawn to them. they were also a bloody good side back then - one of my first ever matches was a win against liverpool and another a win against man utd - and ipswich, well, they were rotten and a mid table 2nd tier team. my mum now amazingly supports both clubs but my dad, although still a fan, has lost interest in football to a degree since roy keane was in charge. he's hardly been this season <ok>
