Just seen on the OS that the development squad will be playing West Ham Away today.
Kick off at 1pm if anyone is interested.
Not sure if we will get any updates as not at our training ground.

Hopefully Seaborne will get another run out, although Barnard & Jaidi are likely to be in Hull so may not feature

Yes will be good for the players returning from injury to get another game.
Lets hope Seaborne can continue on his recovery back to fitness.
Think both Jaidi and Barnie will feature as both been out a long time now and
will benefit from 90 mins game play rather than travelling and not getting a game
or bench warming! These 3 need games along with Falque as he hasn't featured much lately.

A good 1-0 win apparently, unsure of who played/score yet.

Saints U21s: Forecast, Stephens, Jaidi, Seaborne, Target (Turnbull 50), McQueen, Robinson, Ward-Prowse, Isgrove, Falqué, Barnard. Subs (not used): Britt, Curtis. (Seidi - injured in the warm up)

write up on the OS. Another goal for Barnie, Penalty spot.

This to me sums up what a development game should be all about as Martin Hunter says:

"All of the senior players were focused and I was pleased for young Matt Target to take his reward of playing well in the younger age groups to step up to the mark. Having Dan Seaborne next to him will have helped, and it was good again to see Dan looking composed and complete the game."

Nice one Dan! Good to get a full 90 under his belt.

Surprised we had an U16 player playing for the U21s - this to me shows a special talent!

Also surprised Barnard played, considering we are a bit ST light

What a great way to reward a youngster by playing him in the U21's and also
to be part of a clean sheet against West Ham. Great achievement.
I am a great believer in bring on the young talent in this way.
Martin Hunter has shown how well he does this at Saints.

Also on the Barnie point, he is probably hungry for 90 mins football and playing
and scoring in these games are important for his match fitness.

Seaborne will be back in first team contention for the last 5 games imo, seeing as he's already completing 90 for the ressies. I imagine another 90, maybe two and he'll be on the bench.

Would be great to see him back where he was at the start of the season.

Sounds like he has achieved another target set for him by playing 90.

    Good luck to the lad.
