wtf? i can't stand daniel. what's with him? Nando is feeding Kalou given his 24 hour drought.. Kalou looks stupid.. Daniel is acting too smart being that selfish.. Stupid is better than selfish! Nando's assist to Meireles shamed Daniel..
Must admit he's starting to get on my tits a bit. I will forgive him today however as he knows Muamba well and probably wanted to bag one for him Torres
its been the only down side to his game really, i love the way he is not scared to take on players and he is great at skipping past the last man. i know all good strikers are suppose to be a bit selfish but you would of thought he would of been made aware of it by now?
I think we saw Robbie get a little frustrated with him doing it today but he has set up a few goals this season.
He's not scored for a few games now and he's trying too hard for himself & not thinking about the team. Torres had a pop at him in the first half and rightly so. So pleased for Torres who again ran his bollocks off.
Don't see how people can be having a pop at him too much, he's been our biggest threat going forward and is happy to take anyone on (which is what we've needed since Robben and Duff imo). As said on here, he's scored a few aswell as setting up so we can't have a go at him.
He has Drogs but the MH stand gave him pelters in the second half for putting it into the side netting instead of pulling it back. Today was my first game since Fulham & I was surprised how much stick he was getting from certain quarters.
Yeah I know mate, he was too selfish today but just saying he's been one of our best and a breath of fresh air this season
He wanted to score so he could pay respect to Muamba. He is good friends with Muamba, played with him with the U21's and at Bolton.
I think trouble is he's being selfish on the wings. People forgive strikers playing up front as an out and out striker because fans see them as the goal threat, regardless of who else is on the pitch. The striker is expected to score goals. On the wing, you've got to be exceptionally good to be selfish and still score as you have to beat every player from the wing to the goal before striking, whereas someone up front can take on one or two players or trying something ridiculous knowing he can shoot after. Just my two cents. Not saying Sturridge should be played their but that's where he excels ala Bolton loan spell, where he can do his fancy dribbling etc and then shoot, rather than doing a Walcott and not knowing what to do at the end of a mazy run down the wing. Think he's excellent though - miles ahead of Welbeck. In comparison it's frightening. Sturridge only needs the work rate and running of Welbeck to be a far better striker. At the moment he's a little lazy/selfish.
Granted, but if you play Kalou, Sturridge and Torres you are playing with three strikers not one striker and two wingers. The role is maybe different, but the player instinctively isn't.
As an outsiders point of view, I would say there is absolutely nothing wrong having a slefish striker. All the best ones are, and it's how they score so many goals. I would say the problem with Sturridge right now is his decision-making. Knowing when a team-mate is in a much better position to score ratehr than trying to finish himself. I htink the Torres 2nd goals howed this. It comes with experience, and no doubt he can improve this side of his game. He does look an extremely talented player, and most definitely should be an England regular in the future!
