Perhaps you should keep your 'harsh' view of things to yourself FJ, it doesn't sit well on this board at the moment...

Yes they do in war around the war watched by the ****ing planet and a lot younger yet we rarely do anything about it this is different because it's English football ... Of course I am sorry for all death but grow a pair please
No one cared for this player this man until he dropped in fact chances are a lot of people were shouting abuse at him.

Whats wrong with what hes said? 23 school-kids died the other day which is a far bigger tragedy.

    I agree 100% with Oddball.

It doesn't look good. God help his family.

While my thoughts go out to all concerned I have to admit Frank Jesus has a a point.

In a way it is positive for us all to see the fragility of life in this way. Here in the West death is a taboo that we are shielded from except in times of war or disaster. We should take the positive from this and pray for Muamba and his family and friends.

My point is this thread is about someone who may not actually have died, we don't know yet. It is just us expressing hope he survives. The points FJ raises may be perfectly valid ones, but not on this thread. Just showing a little respect...

It's a good point, perhaps insensitive given the uncertainty of what has happened, but these forums should nurture opinions.

Indeed. Its a pity they don't exercise as much restraint over on the Norwich board as our Brix does here.

I am proud to respect all life and naturally feel very flat when sad news is reported what gets my goat is the amount of drama and shock poured out ... I will give my thoughts of course but then I have a dinner party to enjoy
It is bound to be news for the weekend
    at least

Guys. There is a young man fighting for his life here. Show some respect.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Fabrice.

He is in good hands and best wishes to him and everyone else fighting also in hospital . I will respect that but I can't allow all my focus on one man that just happens to be a footballer .
Sometimes this world is so beautiful sometimes so ugly

I think as this is a FOOTBALL forum, and it has happened to a FOOTBALL player during a FOOTBALL match and we are all FOOTBALL fans...then you might partly have a reason for the 'drama and shock'. Plus the fact that we too lost 2 young players in tragic circumstances just hits it home a bit

QPR999 your post inspired me to find out more - a quick search seemed to suggest that heart attack victims face a better prognosis when these symptoms are evident.

I found this excellent clip on YouTube showing an amazing rescue that was captured during a photo shoot in Australia. A real feel good factor about this one. Restores faith in human kindness and respect for life:

I have to say I have a lot of sympathy for what Oddball is saying. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I agree with every word. (Never thought I'd say that!)
