I'd happily have Pearce on board as cover, but I'd be amazed if it happened. I can't see Cortese or Adkins wanting to get a current Pompey on board, and I can't see Pearce wanting to join a fierce local rival. If he wants to stay local, then I could see him joining Reading or Brighton though.

A shame that he's 'Pompey through and through', but once they go out of business he won't have any of that sentiment hanging over him...

would be a good signing, young talented defender... far too good to waste his career at Portsmouth, unappreciative fans with a nothing happening no ambition debt ridden piece of garbage they call a football club.

join the red side Pearce! or stay with the dead side!

He's got a choice between a team that is heading for the Premier league or a team that is heading to league 1.
32,000 fans cheering for him or 12,000.
being paid tens of thousands or not being paid at all.

what did you want me to say? Pompey are hardly going places.

You could have said something along the lines of Southampton are a team on the up and likely to be in the Premier League next season so Pearce could go there and be part of a good thing rather than stay at Pompey, a team which is decline and could be going out of business soon and achieve little-to-nothing. That any player with ambitions of top flight football and on-field glory would chose Southampton over Portsmouth in current circumstance.

If you'd said that then I'd have had no problems with it because that is fact, pure and simple, instead you chose to say Pompey are a worthless piece of crap and issued a general insult to Pompey fans.

Maybe you dont quite understand how aggressive and insulting your post come across but you have once again made an unprovoked attack againt Portsmouth Football Club and the fans of that club. If this website was more like the News or Echo website and we had morons posting crap and insults and swaring at every turn you might be justified in taking such a stance but this website is not like that.

Pearce isn't a bad player. Left footed too, so he'd be cover for Jos. Don't suppose it woulde make him popular with the blue few, but his future is away from Fratton and I'm sur we could make him welcome.

MAJR: Good reply to mate to redandwhitecomrade wind-up!! As for Pearce, never seen him play but must be a reasonable player to have played in a defence that has chopped and changed regularly and until recently was on a goals conceded basis on parity with SFC.

Can't imagine us pulling Forte back from Notts Co. where he's flourishing...wouldn't do anyone involved any good.

Wonder about Lee Barnard, though. He's badly in need of game action, and he certainly isn't going to find it here at the moment; I'd have no qualms swapping him for the remainder of the season for Pearce, so long as he cannot play against us. Pearce might be Pompey through and through, but he's also a professional, and a rather fine one.

I thought this myself - Barnard is in dire need of match action this season, adn with 5 subs, we can't accomodate an unfit player so he won't get a chance here
