So let me get something straight.....Danny Simpson gets the most forward he has been in the whole game, just to waste time in the corner?!!!! Why?!! Whats the point?!!

Let the Striker and Benny waste time. STAY BACK!!!!

They break and their is nobody at the back post?!!! Even Keegan would have been proud of that kamikaze idiotic defending.

    F*cking ridiculous.

    All that effort for nothing!

Him and Williamson were suspect most of this game and in our recent ones. Summer acquisitions must include a new RB and CB. They a poor, even for a Championship side.

    What the hell.

Simpson was brilliant all game, part from that last few seconds. Simpson saved us twice on the line and dominated Ox and kept Gervinho quiet when he tried to get past him twice.

I dont think Simpson did anything particualy bad tonight apart from the throw in at the end.

Special mention must go to Williamson, Gutierrez, Cabaye and Obertan. Rubbish from all of you, you must do better.

Sorry, Simpson for me is a poor defender. His positional sense is woeful and is there a full back in the league who backs off more than him?

I'm one of his harshest critics but there's no way that was his fault. The players jogging back as Vermaelen sprinted past them lost us that one.

Why do people defend what Simpson did by saying he played well.

What he did was impossible to understand.

He also didn't even bother to run back watching the replay...but somehow Vermalean manages to get in the box?!

Poor Poor form from every player their. Simmo was the main one though. He's supposed to be a defender.

Simpson has had his faults this but.
    1. He was injured in the build up to the goal.
    2. He had a good game tonight and was probably our best outfield player.
    3. He has played better the last few games since we lost @ Brighton.
    4. I've been as quick as anyone to criticse him this year.

Yup, terrible, Big defensive overhaul in Summer. Completely new LB needed to allow Santon back to his natural position. And get some decent cover for our CBs FFS

Simpson had a very good game apart from that. I agree he shouldn't have been where he was in the last minute, feel sorry for Coloccini he was heroic all match.

I agree, they were especially poor.
Our tactics almost worked, but a silly error cost us.
I don't like how close the Liverpool are to us either. :(

I think the tragic thing is that even though it's still a catastrophic achievement to be 6th at this stage in the season, we'd have alot more points if we had a good right back and Saylor didn't get injured.

Amazing. How can people forget the shift that players put in for a full 90+ minutes and write them off for a moment that had been coming all second half.

If it wasn't for most of the players being slated here it wouldn't have required a late Arsenal winner – by then we'd have been 5-1 down.

Arsenal are the Premier League form team, playing at home with a real chance of getting Champions League. We were never in the hunt for that spot and it's an incredible endorsement of our season that we're disappointed to lose any chance, now expecting points at the Emirates and worried about being caught by Liverpool.

If it wasn't for the players that left everything out there tonight, run ragged and clearly heartbroken at the end we wouldn't be in such an amazing position.

We're always disappointed to see Newcastle lose, it hurts, but there's no shame in that performance...

Its sickening that he was down injured in the build to their game and Webb knew he was down injured.

i'm not saying he's the best player on the pitch but the abuse he's getting isn't warranted from today's game.

Its another mistake from a player who makes a terrible habit of very costly mistakes, sick of it
