I remember reading one of these driver salary lists last year that said that Perez gets paid half of Karthikeyan's salary.

    And here's the Autosport report.

Not that we needed reminding but that confirms how important he considers the fans to be.

That's impressive but with all the slow motion it was difficult to get a feel for how much faster the team can complete a pit stop.

Is that how far Newey's got with designing the RB9, do you think?

    Charlie Whiting Q&A

    Such questions as:
Race stewards will now be able to investigate an incident without first reporting it to the race director. Why is the system changing?
Drivers are now instructed to not deliberately leave the track without good reason. Why?
The ‘one-move’ rule on defending a position has been reinstated. Has there been a problem with dangerous blocking in the last few seasons?
With the safety car on track, lapped cars will be allowed to unlap themselves and rejoin at the back of the field. Why is F1 going back to this system?
    Technical regulations

and Many Many MANY more <whistle>

    On exhausts:

That seems (hopefully) to indicate that he accepts there shouldn't be any ad-hoc in-season reactionary changes, although I suppose 'clarifications' may still be issued via directives.

Ecclestone's pre-season opinions: Stop spending more than you need to.

Yep, this one's got some goodies:
The same races you force into being run at night so that these European fans can watch more easily? <doh>

Marussia have said that they support Ecclestone's rekindled interest in a budget cap. I'm sure they realise that the only reason he's been talking about it is so he can use it as a bat to hit the teams over the head with in this crucial Concorde year. They have a pretty firm moral case in terms of all the new teams having signed up to F1 on the basis that a sensible cap would be in place. That's all been forgotten in the arguments about RRAs.

I hope other hard-pressed teams, and maybe even FOTA, join them and pressurise Ecclestone into taking his own threats seriously. I don't know why they can't just say teams are not allowed to spend more than five times their entry fee, thereby funding a dedicated FIA accountant to work in each team. And scrap Ferrari's $100m sweetener if it's still in place.

If you stick to the cap you should be allowed a blown double diffuser
+ 1 of any of Neweys banned ideas :)

How realistic this is I don't know. What it would give us is five late afternoon races, assuming Noo Joisey goes ahead, too. How do you feel about that, then? Should the colonial races be held at 8am local time to suit the apparent preference of Europeans for lunch time races?

What's the Argentina weather like in November?
