Germany could find itself in a similar situation to France and Belgium, where it has to share its slot on the calendar with another country, although obvious partners are not immediately apparent.

Austria's fairly obvious isn't it?

This really does make me seethe though. Another historic venue being priced out of holding a grand prix, in a country which has really dominated the sport in recent years in terms of drivers, and has it's own race team.

**** news, more good european tracks dropping out because they can't afford to pay Bernie. I hope Germany shares with France so that Spa can be every year. I doubt this will happen though because Bernie will probably give Valencia two races a season or something stupid.

Completely off topic, but passed 2 McLaren MP4-12c's on the way to work this morning clockwise between the M4 and M40 junctions on the M25. Both looked pretty dirty, one was left hand drive and blue the other right hand drive and silver. Wonder where they were going?

If Germany had to share then Austria is a good choice. Germany is a pretty big dog to fall though

Interesting 50min documentary on Nic Hamilton on the iplayer:

Racing with the Hamiltons: Nic in the Driving Seat

In 2011, 19-year old Nic Hamilton dreamed of following his brother Lewis in to motor racing. But as well as the pressure of being a Hamilton and never having raced a car in his life, Nic also has a disability that had him using a wheelchair until he was 16.

This powerful and intimate film follows the family as they try to help Nic achieve his dream. With unprecedented access we see Nic embark on a season that will determine whether he has what it takes to make a career of his own in the glamorous and dangerous world of motorsport.

Some interesting tweets on this. Jake Humphrey said it was his idea and he pitched it to the BBC. He also sat and watched it with Nic when it was broadcast last night.

The Sun apparently (I haven't checked to see if it's this bad) carried a story that it was all about how Anthony H. had neglected Nic in order to concentrate on Lewis's career and Nic's racing career was his dad's way of making it up to him. Nic tweeted that The Sun's story was a complete misrepresentation.

Pirelli have chosen the Renault R30 as the official test car this year

Something on the lines of this subject, I saw a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia today.
