It's not untrue Billy that the club was partially Mackem founded, summat to do with the Spanish geezer that drove the club forward working in Southampton and taking some shirts back for the team.
Bizarre that a club founded by overseas folk went on to become a Basque only club, you'd think they'd be diverse by definition.
Even the kit they are wearing tonight is the colours of the Basque flag.
