Wikipedia says due to the olympics no Emirites cup this year I think that my bode well for our trophy chances next year. The tournament might be cursed.
Champions League is probably more important for our longterm future. I'd always prefer us to win a cup, in terms of immediate elation but if I look beyond a 2 month long bender I think the CL is where we need to be to get the financial ability to improve our squad and retain our best players.
In all seriousness the scousers went on their downslide when they built a new stand (I think). Meant they couldnt continue to invest in the team. Wenger has done well to keep us competitive during the new stadium build

Nah we won the Carling Cup in 2008 I think - Mr Woodgate to the rescue! I think we beat Leicester to win the Worthington Cup one year as well? I forget. 1991 was the last time we won the FA Cup though.
