I think tiredness will be a key factor, but webber looked very sharp when he came on, and if snoddy is up for it then he will be hard to contain, and the fact he is now captain seems to have had an affect as well, if we can keep it nil nil till half time we might have a chance dont fancy us to chase the game at your place even with our record of scoring late late goals.

Whatever happened to Webber? How come he didn't have a club?

Is he another of Colin's catamites along with Derry and Kenny? Maybe he'll sign Beattie too!

Is this the fixture that has the most 'buzz' about it for Hull fans?

I remember doing a poll on here a while back and 70% of Hull fans said Leeds were considered your biggest rivals, so I'm expecting a tigerish atmosphere from your sections. :)

When was that? I don't recall seeing it, but I suppose it'd be possible on this board, but I doubt it's representative. There were a few other fixtures to look out for before this one for the crowd I go with. Certainly not seen as our biggest rivals, just not a lot of respect held for some of TWS fans.

Reading comments on this thread alone, it suggests to me that this is more than just an issue with Hull Whites, or indeed Leeds fans in general. But I'll leave that to the Hull fans to prove on Tuesday night. I'm betting 5,000 not606 experience points on there being at least one rendition of 'Istanbul, Istanbul, Istanbul' from your pikeys.

Edit. I've just seen that post. What a ****ed up, clueless selection on offer. No wonder so few people bothered even voting. :cheesy:

I reckon people voted to take the piss. It wouldn't surprise me if it TWS fans voting for themselves. :emoticon-0111-blush

It's no surprise you feel a half weight sample on one message board has more weight than decades of experience, but delusion comes with TWS territory in my opinion.

You won't believe me because it'll hurt you, but I actually have a spare ticket from someone that can't make it and there's not that much interest from folk to take it. Honest, there were quite a few other teams and dates looked for before TWS from the crowd I know.

Just like I'd bet Man Utd would get at least one rendition of " Always look on the runway for ice" whenever you play them.

Each club has idiots who chant some pretty brain dead stuff, saying that I can't say I've heard any Istanbul chants when we've played you.

At the end of the day if you want to dish it out be prepared to get some back.

Which teams are bigger rivals and which games do people look forward to more then? I genuinely don't know, hence why I'm asking.

There were three Leeds fans active on the board at that time, so I doubt their votes swayed the balance, and if you read the comments, about 70% of them are saying Leeds, so it's pretty much totally representative. Anyway, you're the Hull fan so I'll bow to your balanced and impartial judgement of the situation.

I am prepared to get it back, I just don't believe people saying that Hull fans aren't up for this fixture. You lot are normally a fairly placid bunch, but it's 'vermin' this, '****e' that, and 'scum' the other as soon as you get a sniff of the L-Word. The fact you compare this to our fixture with Man U says it all, I think.

Others, for different reasons. You get abuse on here because you ask a question of people who are clearly in a better position to know who their rivals are and then don't like the answer so keep asking the same daft question.

Once you've gone far enough, you then blub about just getting abuse. Stick to talking about the game and forget about trying to be our rivals. Seriously, most aren't that interested. Yes you'll get some abuse on Tuesday night, everyone does FFS. I can't say I've noticed any of ours bothering with the Turkey jibes before, but well done for planting the seed this time around. <ok>

What percentage were you at when you played Birmingham and Blackpool at Bellend Park

Believe it or not, we shoulda easily have beaten Birmingham.

This thread has shot off though hasn't it

Im predicting an easy 3-0 win. If we play anything like we did against the saints, surely a romp is in order

Come on Dutch Leeds are widely regarded as one of our main rivals as a club along with Scunthorpe, both after Arsenal obviously, but it's pretty stupid to deny that they're big rivals, I can't think of anyone else other than the gunners who our fans hate as much as a whole.

Personally for me I never really cared much about Leeds until I met my missus as her dads a ****e fan, but my own biggest rivals are Leicester and Birmingham as I'm born bred and still live in Leicestershire, so obviously most folk I know are foxes and a decent amount of blues and villa fans too. I'm glad about the events and situation with Leicester, as until then I never really had a rival match that was in conjunction with the rest of our fans, but now things are stale with them it's a fairly bitter game and makes it feel like a derby atmosphere to me.

Man U is like your cup final

For us, you are a club below us in the table

No comparison at all

Perhaps with your crowd Bob, but apart from the usual caveats, there's precious little interest about leeds as a club among the crowd I go with.

Most people on message boards find them deluded and tedious but we've never really had enough contact with them to build up any sort of rivalry. When they were down we were up and vice versa.
