I thought this thread was gunna be worthy of a look, but then someone brought up that fat ****, Chris Moyles as a reason why one teams better than the other.

FFS! I've heard better arguments from a bunch of bains.

You should read it all I do believe It was a fellow hull fan that mentioned Sir Chris Moyles first.

Chris Moyles used to joke about knowing nothing at all about football and only starting being a football fan when he thought it would improve his popularity, now he's Leeds biggest fan.

Talentless fat ****.

You just have to love Chris Moyles. Witty, original and oh so I interesting. He comes across as such a great bloke.

Bob, are you living in the dark ages??? If we play half as well as we did yesterday, whatever team Hull are able to put out, is not going to matter, YOU WILL LOSE....

This is a bit daft. We could say the exact same thing. Generally this season we've created several chances in every game (the 4-1 at your place was our worst performance of the season and we still had 5 or 6 good chances!) the thing is we tend to miss them. From a City point of view it will come down to finishing as so many of our games do. We are terrible in front of goal though; if your strikers get 3 chances and ours get 10 you will probably win 1-0.

It's quite sad when the 'banter' falls to claims of old success back to some arbitrary point in time. The Royal Engineers and Sheffield FC act with much more dignity than some of these latecomers to the party, especially as they paid their own way.

Right here, right now is where it's at.

Excellent post Dutch. Leeds are massive if all you consider is the periods of time when they were massive. If you only consider 2007-2010 then Leeds are a tiny club and Hull are massive. However what matters is now and we are currently ahead of Leeds with a game in hand. We've also got a good youg squad so I'd argue if a new season started tomorrow we'd have a better chance of promotion than Leeds. Either way, TWS really don't have much to brag about here.

I seem to remember a load of loud mouth chip on shoulder Hull City fans earlier in the year all saying the exact same crap I am seeing posted now... Then Leeds stuffed them 4-1 and they all vanished, the difference this time will be that not only will they vanish once again, they will be crying that the 6 points we took off them well and truly ****ed up their season and any hopes of promotion.

Yeah shame that's bollocks. I seem to remember a thread just like this went on for days after the game with very similar topics discussed. Just because we lost it didn't suddenly mean you lot were all right about how massive you were and how insignificant us and everyone else are. If we lose on Tuesday I'll still be on here, probably explaining why I can't stand that bloody Snodgrass and the rest of your team of dirty buggers.

well it beats always been ****,and always will be.In your best ever season you were the joke of the prem.

<laugh> Yeah we were such a joke. It was hilarious when we were top of the PL after a 3rd of the season, when we stayed up despite how certain it was before a ball was kicked that we would do a 'Derby', when we beat Arsenal at their place (before it became cool), when we scored 3 at Old Trafford - the first team to do so since Real Madrid years before. That just took the piss.

I'm trying really hard to give a **** about Hull City, but I just can't find it within myself.

If I were doing a psychological profile of your fanbase, I'd point to envy, bitterness and a huge dose of small man syndrome which underpins your freakish hatred for Leeds, a club whose fans who never have, don't, and never will see you as more than our Yorkshire cousins who we want to see do well, with a couple of nice-ish ex-Leeds faces like Pearson and Barmby in there which makes you even more likeable. And your fans of course, who never fail to raise a smile with your craaazaaay antics.

You haven't noticed that the whole country hates Leeds then? It isn't a local rivalry thing (that's why you don't hate us) it's a dislike for all that is wrong with football. Historically and right now, the Leeds way is bending the rules in any way possible to achieve success. Also, as I've pointed out many many times on these forums, being hated is not a good thing. Hull City fans don't want you to hate us and it isn't an insult to tell us you don't care about us. Many teams have their local rivalries but no club is so unanimously disliked to the extent and for such good reasons as Leeds are and have been.

Hull fans saying leeds is a rugby town <laugh> 2 rugby teams in hull getting bigger crowds haahaha

If we're doing immensely incorrect comparisons, did you know that local non-league side North Ferriby's average gate is actually higher than the total number to pass through Elland Road this season? Not many do.

If we play like we did last night we'll see a similar scoreline to the game at ER. We have been incredibly inconsistent over the course of the season but Colin might get us firing every week. If so we can still go on a late run.

It really isn't that simple. There's a reason we're above you having played less games. We both think we should be higher and should have won more games that we drew, both sides probably think they will win this game if they play their best but it can't work in both cases.

We're a long way from being a run of the mill team, other than you against you and a dodgy first half against Blackpool on Friday, we've matched or bettered everyone we've played. If we had a decent goal scorer or two, we could quite easily be in the top two, what ever happens on Tuesday night, I don't expect anyone to get anything like a tonking.

Well said scooter. Our team are young so people haven't heard of them and as such they're a lot better than they will get credit for.

This thread is ridiculous. It's full of Leeds fans claiming to be 'discussing the game' but basically being the most arrogant set of ****ers possible. I know it's what we've come to expect from this lot but ffs this is cringeworthy. You're the best team in the league on your day apparently, yet you can't even begin to comprehend that perhaps other teams play well sometimes too. We are literally one good finisher away from promotion this season and there's a very good reason we're a few points ahead of you with games in hand. Your team is littered with cheating twats who do exactly the same things to inspire hatred that your players of the Revie days did and yet you want us all to listen to how you're the best team in the league without debate? This attitude is the exact reason everyone hates your horrible club!

Really? You spent so long typing that?! Look at the beginning of the thread, it's Hull fans predicting an easy win, we do the same and get called arrogant. None of us think we're the best team in the league, I merely stated we're the best team in the league when we play to our full potential, but we very rarely do so I can't say we deserve to be any higher than we are. Of course once again my words will be twisted into an example of a typical arrogant Leeds fan. Now FFS talk about the game instead of how much you hate us because really we don't care and I'd quite like this to actually turn into a match thread.

Even when you try to be rational and state that you're only the best team in the league when 'on your day' you fail to recognise that the same could be said for any other team. You aren't good enough to simply say 'if we play like we can, we'll win' because other teams can play well too and their 'best' (which you probably haven't seen, certainly in Hull City's case) might be better than your 'best'.

This match will probably be tight, I'm not going to pretend I'm overly confident because I do worry about playing Leeds with the away crowd behind you and we are perfectly capable of throwing away any game by missing every chance we create, as such I have no prediction, only the hope that we win.

I wouldn't say Leeds fans are arrogant

If they were a top 8 Prem side, they might come across as arrogant.

But they're not- they're a middle of the road Championship side - check the league table for proof.

So any talk of how good they are is not borne out by the facts

All clubs believe their side is a bit better than the table shows, and most clubs' fans jokingly talk up their team.

But most Leeds fans seem devoid of any sense of humility or irony.

Despite spending more time in the third tier than the Premiership in recent years, their fans continue to behave like it's the other way round.

This makes them the object of ridicule and dislike for supporters of other clubs.

Please understand this is not 'jealousy' or 'bitterness'.

It's a bit like having North Korea playing in the Championship.
