Afternoon
Coming off the back of yet another poor result - this time to West Brom, the main man at Chelsea has fired yet another manager, making it something like 6 managers in 9 years.
This has resulted in criticism from both opposition and Chelsea supporters.
However, looking at it from Abramovich's point of view, you can perhaps see why he is making such snap decisions.
As of April last year the Russian has reportedly spent £1 billion pounds on his project at Chelsea and with interest free loans of £740 million and Chelsea making a loss of approaching £100 million - what has he actually gained from Chelsea?
His personal aim of being Champions League winners has never been accomplished and is as far away now as it has ever been. He spends £50 million off the cuff and it produces what, 5 goals in 49 appearances?
For those who don't know, in order to increase the revenue at Chelsea and thus its valuation, winning the Champions League is essential in promoting the brand overseas. This is something that Chelsea have fallen short off and is likely a key point why AVB, and previous managers, have gone.
With the massive investment and little return wouldn't you be frustrated and thinking,"this guys is never good enough and will never get us the Champions League which is essential?" "It's my money, my clubs and I'll do I want".
You cannot blame him really with 3 wins in twelve, as good as out of the Champions League, and reports of player and fan unrest.
He wants instant returns, and that is to be expected from a man who has invested so much.
