A good friend of mine whos a die hard Evertonian rang me this morning just to gloat that we took 'No Hope' off their hands and said we'd best keep him... Doesn't sound too good :S
Anyone know if we are able to sign any of the current loan players permanently before the end of the season? I wouldn't have though any of the parent clubs would be happy with us saying their player won't even be in the squad most weeks which is the situation we are in now. Unless it is going to be Hope who doesn't feature much and we have got him in on that basis with a view to a possible permanent move. Although if he can't make the squad that would seem unlikely.
If he's 'one of Everton's rising stars' he's bound to be desperate to join Hull permanently, like all other players, according to Hull supporters !
Delusion upon delusion ! He's been borrowed like the other half of your squad !
I'm sure that we can sign a loan player, in advance of the transfer period opening. Or we can sign an agreement with the parent club,, that we will sign a player, once the window opens up. OLM, will be the one to have the answer to that query.
I was meaning can we sign them and they become our player rather than a loan player and so wouldn't be counted as 1 of the 5 loan players in a match day squad. I was pretty sure you couldn't but didn't know for sure.
We can't make permanent signings outside of the transfer window, so anyone who's on loan now has to remain a loan until at least the summer.
I'm sure we'll try and sign Evans and Gerrard in the summer, probably Hobbs and possibly Mannone. We'll have to wait and see with the others, but I don't think it's looking good for Belaid.
