Lenny asks where I've got to - I've been buying chickens and configuring a new modem. Now Mrs NZ has gone off boozing leaving me to look after the children! And my son has now tipped over a container of clean water. Oh well, I'll clean my teeth in beer - something crappy like CD.
 
CD If memory serves was pisswater , there were some decent beers around , but I cant remember the names:( There was a brewery in Greymouth on the west coast that made some decent ale)
 
Intended to do work on the flights over but just became too tired.. at least the flights get progressively better.... first one to mumbai is a small prop. plane. I must say India has developed its airline infrastructure incredibly.. Now several low cost airlines. The trick is not to trust the tannoys or you will find the delayed plane has actually just left!
 
You're right about CD, Norway. It probably has too much sugar in it for teeth cleaning. You are trying to remember Monteith's. They have been taken over by CD Breweries but the beer sold under the Monteith's label is still okay. Nothing matches Greene King, mind. I could do with a pint of Abbott just now. It has been a hard day and one of the new chickens has just escaped
 
Morning All, This non-stop world has to be rather like the old days when TV suddenly kept going through the night rather than closing down with the National Anthem. Seems strange these days that they also closed around tea time so that parents could get their children off to bed.

Another spat going on between Ryan Air and the local airports as the time to re-new contracts comes around. Pau airport is refusing to pay an additional €100,000 to the airline on top of the €1.2m they already pay.

Showing my complete business ignorance here - I would have thought the airline would be paying the airport for being allowed to land there!

Pau? Isn't that where Ryanair drop you off when you fly to Madrid with them, and have to catch a bus the rest of the way? <laugh>
 
Ryanair Easyjet and tyhe like get paid by smaller regional airports to bring their flights in. Its to do with increasing cash influx to the areas and is an important part of the business model for "low cost" airlines.
 
I once spent an afternoon in the airport in Pau watching French paratroopers practising jumping put of planes - all afternoon in the distant I could see streams of parachutes floating down to earth. It would have been more pleasant with a few glasses of

Have a safe journey....(I'm anticipating that you'll be checking The Nest between flights!). Hope that the South of Wigan airport treats you well as a re-introduction to the UK!
 
I see that Lloyd is doubtful for tomorrow, but Lee might just be fit. :(;)

I think we are still looking for a left back before the loan window closes next week.
