Wear_yellow : I once spent an afternoon in the airport in Pau

We got stuck in Pau in 2006 trying to get back when there was the terrorist scare about fluids or whatever - had a nightmare time - Ryanair did not have anyone available to tell us when or if they would supply a flight

I used to be Finance Director of London Luton Airport and it was in the early days of Easyjet there - we had an ongoing battle with them over how much they would pay the airport (which incidentally they did) and they quoted lots of European Airports where they got paid - often by the Local Council to bring in passengers

Has anyone noticed that there has not been a single post to our old Nest on 606 today - the Beeb won so easily

If I'm honest Lenny, I'm preferring the not606 site now and only really pop over to 606 for SLB's Prediction League.

Speaking of which, when is he going to update the league table?

Oh and Lenny, I shall definately be watching your posts for financial tips after THAT job title you just drop in there.

Agreed Sandy - this site has lots of advantages - not least the ability to add to your posts quickly - and to do two or three after each other if you want to reply to others - still find all the statistics a bit odd and unnecessary but perhaps some people like them

Also so far the biggest wummers have not found their way here. I am sure they will in time though

I am hoping that Ak manages to attract more cross-club posters to his match threads as inter club banter is usually quite good

And on the note of stuff I've seen today - OFH, did you sign up for Twitter? Numbers of accounts are growing at half a million a day. And there are a cool 1 billion tweets every day. http://blog.twitter.com/2011/03/numbers.html for those who love numbers.

Lenny I doubt even the mighty London L***n Airport could get a number that big. [[Insert your own joke here about the number of people from Bandit Country who...]]

Sandy - it was quite a while ago ( I left them in 2001) - and I retired altogether three years ago so have forgotten anything useful I ever knew - I now look for financial advice form the likes of Roo and the next generation :)

COYH - you are dead right - our numbers were not that impressive - and as for twitter - I still cannot "twit" :)

Twitter....me? No, not enough hours in the day and I am retired like Leo.

Who needs moderating on this site?

Leo maybe, but I can't think of anyone else.<laugh>

COYH :) - no random axing here - this is not the BBC site and so far there has not been anyone who has said they have been modded on here - long may that continue <ok>

OFH - did you, like me, think that being retired would give you more hours in the day than you knew what to do with - my only fear was that I would be so bored I woud go back to work - I gave myself 6 months at first and thought if I did not like retirement I would take another job - that never happened - I have never had so much to do - and love it :)

Bolton - now if I were open to bribes - you have found my weakness - looks like it is impossible for you to say anything to be modded :)
