It kinda feels like the st godders prophecy is happening, what with Reading & Brighton doing so well.
tbh.. the race of autos i's Between.. Reading, West ham.. Southampton and birmingham and maybe blackpool! It will be a tight end of season!
It's about this time of the season that I'd usually start to spend 90% of life doing the BBC predictor. Bloomin' people updating their website and removing it!
There we go st_brendy...a little treat for you! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm
I bring up the subject of the predictor because I'm currently looking at the next round of fixtures. Blackpool vs Hull on Friday night, and Cardiff vs West Ham on Sunday afternoon. Yes away to Leeds will be tough, but thanks to those two head-to-heads the table will look very very nice should we win.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you..... (Must remember not to miss MOTD and TFLS show now, Must remember not to miss MOTD and TFLS show now, Must remember not to miss MOTD and TFLS show now, Must remember not to miss MOTD and TFLS show now, Must remember not to miss MOTD and TFLS show now, .......)
Here you go mate,BBC predictor. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm
Thank you all the same. I don't like what I've come out with: West Ham 99 Reading 90 Saints 89 Birmingham 89 Blackpool 87 Hull 85 Cardiff 82 Brighton 78 Boro 75 Although Pompey do get relegated by one point!
I completed the predictor. Had West Ham on 95pts, Saints in second on 89. Reading on 87 in third and Birmingham 4th on 84. I had us winning all home games and picking up 9 points away from home (2 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses). The key game seemed to be Saints V Reading. If we don't beat them, I think they could pip us. I had us losing to Leeds, so if we can win at Elland Road I can definitely see us promoted going by the rest of our fixtures.
Don't know what you are doing st_brendy...we may finish third but WHU will not be 10 points ahead of us.
I also like Reading, they are not one of the mouthy teams/clubs. the sort you could take home to meet your mum.
I agree Fran, I normally agree with a lot of your views Brendy, but to say that West Ham will only drop 4 pts out of a possible 42 until the end of the season is difficult to believe. Out of the previous 14 games they dropped 18 pts and looking at their fixtures I think it will probably be nearer to 18 than 4.
Not many people would have said they would have dropped points today, the predictor can only be a bit of fun.
Oh without a doubt they'll drop more than 4 points - my mouth dropped when I saw I had them at 99. They'll never get that many. Everyone slips up in the odd game, so I'd suggest that I've over-estimated the final points totals for all teams. Interestingly, I do seem to have put down a lot of 2-1 wins for West Ham - so clearly it wont take much for some of them to be draws (or worse). It's not like I'm predicting them to win every game 4-0.
I've surprised myself with this one: Saints 96 Birmingham 88 -------------- Reading 88 West Ham 86 Blackpool 86 Cardiff 79 And at the bottom, unfortunately: Portsmouth 37 ---------------------- Millwall 37 Doncaster 37 Coventry 32
Good morning Not our best performance yesterday but we probably did enough to win the game despite the players clearly being tired after playing 3 matches with 10 men. I don't think your win over watford was ever in doubt but we are still in a healthy position and are still the bookies favourites for the title. I think the top 2 will almost certainly be us and yourselves - in what order I don't particularly care and i doubt you lot do either. You are the team I want to come up with us. I want to see the dross relegated from the prem (bottom three looking good at the moment) and big, proper clubs like West Ham and Southampton back where we belong. Teams like Reading/Boro need to stay where they are. We have enough plastic clubs with no history in our top flight already IMO.
