David Chell, only arrived at St Marys in September as Chief Commercial Officer left Saints last week, following on from numerous short term staffing:

David Burke (Scout, now at Brighton, left after less than a year)
Jakob Freiis Hanson (Scout, left after Half a Year)
Jochen Hartmann (Executive Director of Halo)
Scott Steedman (Head of sales & marketing, after a year)

I'm just worried there seems to be a trend emerging here? I'll probably get slated for bringing this up though

As long as they're replaced, I don't see the problem.

Besides, wasn't Scott Steedman responsible for some right cock-ups in his time? Can't remember off the top of my head.

Something just doesn't seem right to me personally if all these people go after such a short period of time (and some of them quite high profile as well)

nothing wrong fella. If he someone isn't "on the same page" then it is good sense to move them on quickly before it gets too rotten. Most business people fail in this area.

he was rightly sacked - the last couple of halo games have been rubbish ;)

I honestly wouldn't read too much into it, mate. These people are just employees, who for some reason don't fit. Maybe it's the vision, maybe they aren't good enough, maybe they don't like the working practices, maybe they were poached. A lot of ifs and buts. Think about it another way - a lot of people stay..!

If Cortese is a hard task master because he requires the highest standards, then on one hand we praise him, but on the other we probably wouldn't measure up to his high standards either. I admire Cortese greatly, but I know I wouldn't fit into his structure. I'm almost certainly far too maverick.

Did not have you down as a fan CBK.

Cortese makes the decisions and he is accountable for them. There's no point saying it's his fault if you don't achieve your aims, because it ain't gonna change anything. It was the same when he sacked Pardew, Cortese knew that if we weren't promoted after that, it would be his responsibility. Nicola has done a pretty decent job so far if you ask me, so I'll continue to support his decisions.

Have to say this is the only thing that unsettles me.

Backroom staff come and go all the time. Especially scouts. They are quite possibly the most unloyal people in football. Nicola drives a hard bargain and if they aren't performing, they're either kicked out or wages other clubs are offering aren't matched by us. Happens all the time.
