    over on the Chelsea board,in the Harry would pick Scoles thread there's a best of Pele video,if you want to see some fantastic skill pop over and watch it,see why he's regarded,as the world's greatest ever player,i really enjoyed watching it

    I remember him well. Undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever to lace up a pair of boots.

    I saw Pele playing for New York Cosmos against Toronto Metro Croatia in Toronto in 1975.It was pitiful to watch

    i always struggle to say one person is the best at somethng like football which is a team sport......i totally respect what you are saying though.

    I agree mate, it's a team game, for sure. But, every generation throws up an individual who stands way above the rest. At the moment, it's Messi. I mean the opposition know's what he's about, they try all means, fair & foul to stop him, still they fail. Pele - along with George Best were the Messi's of their generation. I wouldn't say Pele was necessarily THE best - but for sure, he was one of the very best.

    spot on NSS.....theres so many...both the Ronaldos...Messi as you said..we havent even mentioned Zidane....i only ever saw one live match with Pele in it..and i thought he was great for the Allies.
