Supers - as I said, you're entitled to your opinion, and my post above was not linked to anybody, thereby indicating that it was a general comment not aimed at anyone in particular!
What I will say is that I think you, Superman, are out of order to call ILD 'ignorant' just because he doesn't share your point of view! To be honest, it smacks more than a little, of arrogance, sort of, you should listen to me because I know more than you!
I acknowledge that your comprehension of the finer points of the game is extensive, but I beg you, please don't use that as a stick to beat us over the head with!
At the end of the day, we all love NCFC! We're on the same side for goodness sake!

if the players selected had performed to their normal levels then, yes, i would have expected us to defeat leicester, but for some reason they were all well below par on the day. arrogance? complacency? who knows, but in this professional game it should not happen that all are off peak.
perhaps thats part of the problem with accepting the defeat. leicester are no mugs - their team cost more than ours to assemble. i personally feel that our team is far stronger than theirs despite that fact. however, we still have to play well to beat teams and it seems we just didn't perform. people who turn up at games expecting three points or expecting to roll a team over are a problem at carrow road. it happened at the fulham game. it happened against doncaster last year. it sends out the wrong message to the players too as the atmosphere is noticeably different. defeats happen but they haven't happened very often under lambert and poor performances are even rarer. i just find all the criticism of the players and manager absurd. maybe lambert did get it wrong on saturday, maybe the players did play poorly, but its hardly the end of the world is it? i've seen people demanding their money back; i've seen people asking for public apologies. people worry that lambert will leave - well who can blame him when he gets a barrage of abuse from the fans whom he's done so much for?

As I said before Sid, I've been pulling in the same direction for 50 years!
I don't consider myself to be ignorant, stupid or having lost my plot.
I don't generally have a problem with my team losing, provided that I can see commitment, effort and 11 knackered men leaving the pitch at the end of the game. I will happily stand shoulder to shoulder with you or anyone and applaud that.
I didn't see that on Saturday or against Sunderland and it makes me very annoyed.
As I've said to Superman before, (here come the caps), I PAY MY MONEY AND I'M ENTITLED TO MY OPINION!
I don't necessarily expect everyone to agree with me, what I do expect is a bit of common decency and courtesy.
This is a debating forum, if we all agreed then it wouldn't exist.

I just can't bring myself to agree with the fact that Leicester are a good enough team to beat us, and certainly weren't on Saturday.
We were appaling that's why they beat us, and that hurts me a great deal more than you will ever understand.
I don't want Lambert to leave, but he should be aware of how the fans feel. Norwich City would not exist without them.
I don't want Morison to leave, he's a far better footballer than he shows most of the time, and there is my problem with him!
We have Grant Holt, super hero and all round Mr 100%, so unfortunatly Morison gets compared to him, I just want to see him doing better,
but for me he doesn't show it.
I guess I inhabit a different world to you, I have to get results in my working life to support my team, my company and keep my job,
it's results driven, these are the glasses I look through. They aren't rose tinted or any other kind of tint, just plain logic ones.
I'm trying to explain to you how I see things, I'm not ignorant believe me, I hate to boast but I do have a BSc in engineering, I'm fairly proud of that.
On Saturday I saw a very very big missed opportunity and it's made me angry and sad.
I just hope I never stoop quite so low as to judge others a ignorant without getting to know them first. Hope you understand all that.

Once again you resort to insults rather than a reasoned argument.
Sid I haven't called you ignorant, irrational or ridiculous, nor have resorted to insulting your intelligence.
You disagree with what I've written...fair enough, an alternative opinion is perfectly acceptable, and it's your right, but are you saying that no one else's opinion is valid or allowed just because you don't agree with it? Man that's so wrong!!!

My man you are too sensitive, that wasn't a personal insult at all, I am merely offering a contrary opinion to the one you have given. I've never called 'you' ignorant at any point, merely some of the things that you (and a few others) have shared during this debate, and I do believe on an internet debating forum that is something I am 100% entitled to do.
I'm afraid a lot of the ranting on here to me is entirely irrational, completely at odds with what I perceive to be common sense and in that case I consider (from where I sit a typing this) to be lacking any form of logic which is therefore categorised by myself to fall under the banner "perhaps a little ignorant". The opinions that is, not the people who made them.
I completely disagree with the views of lots of my mates about a whole plethora of things, but just because I think they've got a particular issue completely wrong it doesn't for a second mean that I think they are "ignorant", because if I did then it's highly unlikely they would remain an acquaintance of mine. I'm sure you and I agree on a great many things, and I will rejoice in this knowledge, but unfortunately concerning this debate I personally feel that you are absolutely without question wrong and I do believe by now I have made this pretty clear.
I apologise if you or anyone else think I have resorted to name calling or insults, I haven't at all, but if you perceive that I have then I am sorry for that as it was never my intention at all.

Firstly if you find it hard to agree with a fact then you're struggling from the off, and secondly Leicester clearly were good enough to beat us on Saturday, and that's exactly what happened.
Would you say that we were good enough to beat Bayern Munich all those years ago? Realistically we shouldn't have been, but we were on that beautiful, beautiful night and that my friend is the magic of the sport we all love
I think that perhaps everything that could have been said on this thread has been, but let me just show my support for ILD when I say he is not ignorant, not in the slightest. Everything in football is open to interpretation and, let's face it, we don't know what kind of man Steve Morison is beneath it all, his attitude may stink - I simply choose to disagree with this opinion.
When it comes to expecting us to beat Leicester in the fifth round, I can only really cite comments that have already been made. The FA Cup wouldn't be what it is without giant killings and the fact that Leicester beating Norwich is being titled a 'giant killing' is, surely, something worth toasting to anyway. Could anyone have called Norwich City a giant of the English game two years ago? I doubt it. Now? You'd be a fool not to.

The origional statement I made was not critcising Morison but highlighting that many were on Saturday. My main point was I feel at time we do not play to his strengths. If you play him 4 4 2 you get the performance like on Saturday (and he was far from being on his own as far as bad performances are concerned!). I feel you get a better player if you use him as the lone striker! Again it was my opinion to de discussed. agreed with or not as you see fit.
One reason I do not post so much on forums now is exactly the type of response you get just for having an alternative viewpoint. I very often agreed with Carrabuh's opnion, but not all . Many made it clear how they disagreed to the extent he does not post any more , which is sad. I would quite understand if ILD decides to post less after some of those commenst above. At the end of the day if you disagree that is fine but do accept others may see things differently without resorting to very harsh feedback. We are all City fans at the end of the day.
For the record I am firmly a believer we are virtually safe (baring disaster) so we should have really gone for it on Saturday as I would like to see City lift the trophy, get into Europe an push on. I want to play our best team every week, beat teams in the cup and beat teams in the league. Why could we not go for beating both Leicester and Man Utd?
It is sad that the Prem has become the be all and end all. If the FA or Carling cups are now no longer seen as worth wining then why bother entering? I do feel that many on here over the last few days are indicating they do not see the competition as worthwile. Bet you would have gone to Wembley though?

I agree totally ILD. The issue for me which made me start the thread is we get performances from Morison if we play 4 4 2. I feel he is better as the lone striker with quality crosses coming in. That is why, imo, he seems "frustrated"

Why oh why can some people still not accept this??? It is not just my opinion, it is completely bloody obvious and for Paul Lambert to come out and state it and for people to still accuse us of not wanting to win the game simply beggars belief.
Now I'm sorry that some of you grown men are so touchy about being told your opinion is wrong (when it so blatantly is to anyone with any common sense!) but on this particular issue that's the way it is and I assure you if we were having this conversation down the pub I would have used terms somewhat stronger that "perhaps a little ignorant" - I'd have told you not to be so ****ing stupid!!!
I'm not right about everything, of course I'm not and I'm not suggesting for a second I am, but I can 100% assure you on this one I am, and the fact people still can't see what is so obvious on this particular matter has really got my goat.
Ok, rant finally over. Think I need to walk away from this thread now, I think I'm going a bit doo-lally and part of me still thinks this must be some kind of wind up because for intelligent people who have followed us for so long to actually believe some of the things they've written on here just makes no sense at all.

also agree with munky - there is a distinct lack of common sense shown by some posters but when anyone tries to point it out we get accused of ganging up or bullying. everyone has a different opinion but often the opinion is blatantly wrong or misleading. nothing wrong in my eyes of trying to correct it.
