WOW, is this the same Morison that helped us beat Sunderland, QPR, West Brom and Newcastle? The same guy who scored agaisnt Villa, Arsenal and Man City?
He wasn't great yesterday, I dont think one Norwich player had a good game but take away his goals and we would have 8 less points in the league. Think relegation would still be on everyones mind then. Dont understand how people can jump on this guys back so quickly. Yes we're out of the cup and thats a shame but turning on a guy when hes out of form wont help. Im pretty sure only 3 months ago people were questioning if Holt had what it took in the Prem and if Morison was the way forward long term.

Fox was awful on saturday, was pilkington on the pitch? Hoolahan couldnt hit a 6 yard pass half of the time, jackson did nothing, Martin struggled, Barnett looked out of place, and Steer looking shakey early on.

So in my opinion only Ward, Drury and Bennet had okish games. Not making excuses but I think the pitch looked abit worn for the first time and disrupted our passing alot which suited them down to a tee. Lets not forget with Morison, that only a year ago he wouldnt of even got in that Leicester side, so for him to do what hes done in the premiership is, to quote the messiah....."collosal"

Bet you a billion pounds that Lambert doesnt have a problem with him and this handshake business is nonsense. Thank God Lambert has a longer memory than some of you lot. Whats next, Lambert doesnt get a result agaisnt United and he has lost his tatical noose? blimey.

We lost 7-1 to Colchester 2 years ago and the improvement we have made, getting promoted back to back and surving in the top division, would be remarkable for a pub team, let alone to do it in some of the best footballing leagues in the world. So stop moaning about our blooming cup exit.
Yes were we bad, yes morison looked abit off. But even if he has a shocker for the rest of the season it should not be forgotten that he has come up with some BIG moments already for us this season. He deserves our patience if nothing else.

We have Man Utd at home on Sat.....Leicester wont have that again for years......Weprobaly wouldnt of beaten Chelsea away anyway so what does it matter.

I just wished we had have holt on the bench instead of wilbraham! I no Lambert was reasting him but he could have played the last 20 mins or so. You no what your getting from Holt. He would have lifted the team and prop won about a million free kicks etc!
 
Just a bad day at the office guys, no conspiracy theory, no plan to exit the cup and concentrate on the league. We cant win everything and dont forget Leicesters squad cost significantly more than ours did. time to move on

Firstly, Morison doesn't ever give up on a ball that he could catch, he's just more efficient than Holt in that way, he knows when he's not going to catch the ball. Plus, I think that Holt reads the game better than Morison. The reason it may seem that Holt is more hardworking is because he's onto the balls more quickly.

Secondly, I doubt he was telling Ward to clear off. They will have discussed the way to approach corners in training - Ward was probably badly positioned.

And his attitude does NOT stink - he's just frustrated. His performance was poor yesterday and he took it out on himself, cutting a very downcast figure on the pitch. He's not lazy, he's just demoralised.

If he did decline Lambert's hand yesterday, however, that is intriguing. I find it difficult to believe, but I think it was probably because he was annoyed at himself, not Lambert, if true. Even if it was the case, I'm sure he will have apologised by now.

If I may slightly alter the phrase, just this once: In Morison We Trust.

He didn't clap the fans when he got substituted, and that STINKS!!
He did NOT take it out on himself, he took it out on the rest of the "TEAM" and the "SUPPORTERS", and that STINKS!!
I don't know where you were sitting, but, he wasn't having a discussion with Ward! Ward walked away looking shocked!
Morison gave up on loads of balls, especially ones that went down the left side, that in my opinion he could have got to!
Surely you chase down those balls to put the defender under pressure, he then knows your going to hassle him all game.
BUT what the hell do I know, I don't know anything about football, that's why I go every week! Still learning after 50 years
apparently.
You haven't made me a scapegoat, you've given your opinion without resorting to name calling , and you're perfectly
entitled to do that, I just don't agree with you that's all!

And it sounds like you're probably going to need another 50 years to catch up mate if you think these rants of yours are in any way rational <ok>

Also, am I the only one who noticed Grant Holt's reaction when he was taken off against Sunderland? He was far from happy - thoroughly pissed off actually - and he was clearly mouthing the words "for ****'s sake" and shaking his head as he trudged off the pitch. It's a typical reaction to being substituted, coupled with the fact we were playing badly and losing the match - very similar to Morison's reaction on Saturday so let's please not have these double standards when judging our players eh?
I don't mind anyone looking disppointed when they are replaced, it's how they react in training on Monday morning and when they next get out on the pitch that bothers me and I'm sure we'll see the proper reaction from Mozza when that happens.

yep, i saw holt's reaction too. my first instinct was that i was pleased to see he wanted to stay on. he felt he could do something. morison should still shake lambert's hand though, assuming he didn't <ok>

Name calling doesn't help!
I was and still am very very disapointed with that display, should I not be able to say so???? Plus if I want to have a rant (which I don't think I've done) then I will and will continue until someone in authority tells me to stop!!!
Were you happy with that display on Saturday???? If not be man enough to say so and stop trying to defend it!

No I wasn't happy, but I am man enough to appreciate that it was simply because we played badly on the day, Leicester played well on the day and we lost the game. It happens. Ok, it happens a lot less nowadays under Lambert than it did during the dark, dark days of our previous managers, but it does happen and when we do lose a game for one reason or another I find it entirely ridiculous to have this witch hunt/blaming exercise about why everything is suddenly going wrong.

I feel no need to either castigate or defend people on the back of just one poor defeat (particularly when just seven days before we played possibly the best we have played for many, many years - remember?), however I do feel the need to challenge what I consider irrational, slightly ignorant and potentially dangerous knee-jerk criticism - and I have seen an awful lot of it in the past couple of days which quite frankly beggars belief from where I'm sitting.

And regards to you claiming to "not ranting" - are you sure fella? I dunno, excessive use of capitals and exclamations amrks sounds a rant where I come from <ok>

I think he, along with a few others, might well have done. And this is the dangerous part I refer to. If we suddenly lose three games in a row in the league (which is certainly a possibility and wouldn't be a disaster) I have concerns that some of these people might turn into boo-boys on the terraces and this would be a huge disaster <ok>
 
careful munky - you aren't allowed to lambast the boo-boys!

seriously though, ILD is clearly a very passionate fan but i think sometimes he misses what we are actually achieving at the moment. this has been an astonishing season thus far and will continue to be so if we keep performing as we have been almost every week of the season. its only natural that the team have off days but the important thing is there aren't many of them <ok>
 
Can I just butt in here and say, let's not gang up on ILD, he's got as much right to his opinions as the rest of you have!

When the team has been so successful over recent times, it's only natural to 'expect' a win when facing 'beatable' opposition!
In a competition like the FA cup, if all games went to form, there would be no shocks, no giant killers and NO Norwich City getting to Wembly!

When a shock occurs, it takes time to get over it and move on! Some need longer than others! At the end of the day, we all love and support our club, so please, no name calling! Cut a little bit of slack!

I apologise if you or anyone thinks I have been name-calling, I guess the accusations are at me however I don't really understand why? <erm>

For the record I find some of the rants I have been reading an insult to my, and anyone else reading this forums' intelligence - not to mention highly disrespectful to a useful Leicester team who deserved the win on the day.

And to accuse Steve Morison of "taking it out on the rest of the "TEAM" and the "SUPPORTERS", and that STINKS!!" after what he has achieved so far in the yellow and green is, in my opinion, ignorance of the very highest order and it is this that I'm afraid, like it or not, that I cannot allow to go unchallenged <ok>

sorry dave but i agree with munky. ILD comes across as an ignorant person - its just how he comes across - it doesn't mean he is, but he brings this upon himself with his bizarre rants and its normally him doing the insulting of our players who have no comeback. sometimes he makes great points and he is a good poster but often i read a post and wonder if he's typed it purposely to cause confrontation <ok>
 
Supers - as I said, you're entitled to your opinion, and my post above was not linked to anybody, thereby indicating that it was a general comment not aimed at anyone in particular!

What I will say is that I think you, Superman, are out of order to call ILD 'ignorant' just because he doesn't share your point of view! To be honest, it smacks more than a little, of arrogance, sort of, you should listen to me because I know more than you!

I acknowledge that your comprehension of the finer points of the game is extensive, but I beg you, please don't use that as a stick to beat us over the head with!

At the end of the day, we all love NCFC! We're on the same side for goodness sake!
