Take promotion now, if it meant not winning the title? Silly question, it's just trying to gather all of your objectives. I'd personally feel very disappointed if we were to lose out on top spot- promotion would somewhat feel not being enough. But on the other hand, August of last year I couldn't have dreamed of anything being better than promotion.

Having been this far ahead for so long, not winning the title would be a big blow. Automatic would be a terrific consolation though. But going up as Champions would give great momentum for next year. Its absolutely not in the bag though - we need to pull our socks up! If we win our next five games I reckon we'll be home and hosed (big word "if"!)

Although i do have my birthday weekend sorted already with Jacko lifting the trophy on 5th, Sea Fishing in the Solent on 6th and Rose Bowl to watch Hampshire play someone on 7th to detox from the footy and fishing - what a birthday weekend that would be !
In an instant. I would have been content for this season to be a consolidating season before making the push for promotion next season, so it's far, far exceeded my expectations. Promotion is the ultimate goal, being Champions is just icing on the cake. Sweet, thick crunchy icing...
