Am currently urging that idiot Ian "Moose" Abrahams to admit he was wrong about Billy Sharp on Twitter. Yesterday he spent the day claiming "Billy Sharp rolled around holding his head like he'd been punched last night." and that he should too have been sent off. He also kept directly tweeting Billy trying to get him to "explain himself"...... Now the pictures and video clearly show he didn't am trying to extract an apology out of him as a "responsible journalist". I don't hold out much hope, but I'll let you know. He's currently saying he's "not going to go over old ground again".
Trust me the mans an idiot....you have not a chance in hell of getting the person to admit to anything remotely responsible. He is a headline grabber.
I agree Beddy but (particularly with journalistic standards being questioned as they are) I perhaps hold out a hope that when shown to be wrong, particularly when attacking an individual so vociferously the day before, they might have the good grace to say, okay, I was incorrect....... .......I'm still looking for those pigs flying.......
I used my very dead Twitter account to try to coax some sort of answer out of him and received nothing,
But indirectly, his continual baiting of Sharp might have encouraged the more unpleasant trolling as well. He has a responsibility to admit he's wrong. I bet he was the first on Dalglish's back saying he should say sorry.............double standards.....
He's just replied again - "I have not seen the incident again but did say yesterday I thought both players were guilty of ungentlemanly conduct"
Apart from the excellent Hawksbee & Jacobs, everyone else on talksport are purely there to wind fans up in order they either ring in or visit the website or just generally publicise talksport for free. So you've fallen into the trap.
In other words, he's not going to watch the easily-found video of the incident because that would force him to change his opinion.
That is the nearest you are going to get to him admitting he was wrong. I think they call it a body swerve in today's speak.
Couldn't help it! It gets to me that his job revolves around getting paid to give opinions, yet he remains pigheadedly ignorant. How people like him get jobs is beyond me... but then, it is TalkSport.
Both he and Alladyce should make a public apology. They have used a media platform to make comments about Sharp's character and without even checking first to see if they were true. I'm surprised the club haven't made a complaint to West Ham. Good luck.
I genuinely think he has a responsibility to apologise, in all seriousness. He was tweeting Billy last night trying to bait him. Appalling.
The worst thing about it, is that he was goading Billy by challenging him to reply and claim responsibility for his actions. Feel he needs to take a look at himself..?
Sometimes I wonder if it is better not to go onto these types of sites. As people seem to use them to annoy or aggravate and hide behind their computers when making disparaging vitriol. Footballers do use them to communicate with their fans that is understandable but I wonder if it is worth it when you see some of the rubbish that is posted on there! JMO
