Missing the bigger picture I'm afraid. With HT's resources, the team should not fail in the P/O's season after season. How many games were they winning comfortably, only for his negative tactics to turn a win into a draw. Twice last season they were winning 2-0 against L'Orient & both games they drew. I bet they do better without him.

I think this Newcastle fan summed it up best:

Most of their fans are delighted he's gone and they know more about their club than any scoffing journalists or fans of other clubs. Spent a lot of money in terms of fees and wage bill for that level and is on target to fall short of their target (automatic promotion) again this season.

Yes they went on the unbeaten run, fair play to them, but too many draws to get auto-promotion. He had his shots, spent money, and it doesn't look like they will get it this year either.

I think the worst thing about this from all points of view is the timing. Being pipped to automatic promotion by us and then losing to Posh in the playoff final was a double hammer blow. The chairman, if he had any balls, should have sacked Clark then.

I'm really happy for Huddersfield fans. I got quite close to a few of them last season, and I did feel for them missing out on promotion. Hopefully now with Clark finally gone, they can get the promotion which they deserve.

Good luck to whichever fans end up with Clark next. I wouldn't wish him on anyone. Negative, negative manager.
