Okay, we're on 30 points with 13 games to play. I'm excited about the run in. I know we've been inconsistent this year (uhum every year!) but I'd love to hear your views on the remaining games and predictions. we can then see who comes closest to reality at 5pm on 13 May. The winner will receive a free lesson on how to write an article by Bandit and a meal for 2 with the Captains missus at Nandos Bournemouth. Queens Park Rangers - Fulham (15.00) 1-2 got to go with a win here Fulham - Wolverhampton Wanderers (14.05) 2-0 Aston Villa - Fulham (15.00) 1-1 Fulham - Swansea City (15.00) 2-1 Manchester United - Fulham (20.00) 3-0 Fulham - Norwich City (15.00) 1-1 Bolton Wanderers - Fulham (15.00) 2-2 Fulham - Chelsea (15.00) 1-2 Liverpool - Fulham (12.45) 2-0 Fulham - Wigan Athletic (15.00) 3-0 Everton - Fulham (15.00) 2-1 Fulham - Sunderland (15.00) 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur - Fulham (15.00) 2-0 I've put us down for a conservative 18 points. Second place gets to write a book with Bandit and wait on table as Captain and Mrs Captain share a romantic meal.
Fun contest ... Captain, does your wife like flowers? Should I bring wine or beer? Queens Park Rangers - Fulham 0-1 narrow win for us Fulham - Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 easy win for us Aston Villa - Fulham 2-0 away form problems for us Fulham - Swansea City 2-1 narrow win again Manchester United - Fulham 4-0 Fulham - Norwich City 2-0 Bolton Wanderers - Fulham 0-2 (Bolton will have given up hope by then) Fulham - Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool - Fulham 3-0 Fulham - Wigan Athletic 3-0 (Wigan's players fleeing a sinking ship) Everton - Fulham 2-1 (we never win at Goodison) Fulham - Sunderland 0-1 (Sunderland making bid for Europe) Tottenham Hotspur - Fulham 4-0 (Tottenham cementing their Champions League bid) 16 points and up to (11th place)
Can I write a book on Bandit and provide the evening entertainment? I'm going for a solid 18 too. I'm not predicting any scores - whats the point? (commenting on our stark unpredictability)
Okay: Queens Park Rangers - Fulham 1-1 Fulham - Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Aston Villa - Fulham 2-0 Fulham - Swansea City 1-1 Manchester United - Fulham 3-0 Fulham - Norwich City 1-2 Bolton Wanderers - Fulham 1-1 Fulham - Chelsea 0-3 Liverpool - Fulham 2-0 Fulham - Wigan Athletic 2-0 Everton - Fulham 2-0 Fulham - Sunderland 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur - Fulham 2-1 Minimum 10 points and probable safety. League position 16th. The 3 Games things really hinge on for me are Wolves, Swansea and Norwich. Our away form let's us down and you can't tip a single win in all fairness, even against Bolton - given we have only had 1 away win this season, drawn 5 and lost 6 it is unreasonable to expect much of a turnaround in this form. We really should beat Wolves but Swansea and Norwich will be vey tough games as both teams have no problems scoring, especially Norwich, and I can see Swansea snatching a draw and Norwich getting all 3 points - we never do very well against the new boys to be honest. These are the two results I feel least confident about my predictions though and if we win both then it's 16 points and a final league position of 12th Could beat Sunderland but depends how well their season is going by then, if they are on for Europe then it would be a hard one.
...a meal for 2 with the Captains missus at Nandos Bournemouth and a night off without teaching one of us to write an article?
DR, she likes flowers, is neither a wine or beer drinker (I'll happily take either) and she's not going out for a meal with you or anyone else on this board. Bidley, I'd like to read that book, but your musical tastes are a touch stronger than Mrs Captain's. If I recall, you're in a metal band, whereas she is more of a Frank Sinatra fan. She's a class act is Mrs Captain, far too classy for anyone on this board - including me, probably.
Not at all, just didn't want it to sound like I was coming over all superior to the rest of you neerdowells. I'm like whatever Championship club announces Lee Clark as their next manager - lucky beyond belief.
