We had an uneventful season? This season alone has seen more events than many clubs see in a decade, but over the last 20 years or so we've seen so many highs and lows that stability would seem alien to us. Could we as fans handle bobling about in relative safety or will we get Charltonesque delusions?
2002/03? think we finished 13th/14th that season. Mind you, we did move to the KC and leave Boothferry Park that season so it wasn't entirely uneventful! Guess it goes to show there's never a dull moment supporting city!
not even that one as little got sacked and then messiah taylor came along and didnt win in his first ten away games then walters came and scored goals and then burgess arrived. edit: molby not little sacked that season.
taylor won his 1st away game, i remember it well because me and my mate borrowed his mams car when she was on holiday, a day after he had passed his driving test. 1st time he had ever been on the road on his own to torquay, and just hoping she wouldnt notice the extra 600 odd miles on the clock on her return, those where the days..
the 4-1 at torquay wasnt taylors dont be fooled he had sweet fa to do with team selection or anything on that day.
he was unveiled to boothferry park the sat before in a 3-0 victory over rochdale (if memory serves me correct) so after a full week in charge and in the dugout, thats him in charge as far as im concerned
ha ha ..funny thing was, my mates mam was only on holiday somewhere down the south coast too..so every time we saw a national hollidays coach, he was ****ting himself
