1448: France forward Djibril Cisse has said bid farewell to Lazio following reports that he has agreed a deal to join QPR. "I want to thank all the Lazio fans and everyone I've met in these months for their affection and support," he wrote in Italian on Twitter. "I'm sorry if I've been a disappointment for some people but I want to say that I've always given 100%."

1441: BBC Sport have learnt that QPR have agreed a fee with Fulham for Bobby Zamora, believed to be £4m. Medical and personal terms still to be agreed.

QPR are beefing up that is for sure!

2.49pm: At last, some long overdue news for Liverpool fans, who've been getting very edgy about their club's apparent lack of transfer activity. Sky Sports News have just broadcast footage of Kenny Dalglish's pre-Wolves match press conference in which he was wearing a blue woolen v-neck pullover and grey shirt not entirely dissimilar in design to John Ashdown's. He didn't say anything about signing anyone before 11pm.

MEH!

Jelavic close to joining Everton now. Thank god we did'nt sign him, it said they were giving him a tour of Goodison Pk and about five min's later it showed him walking out the door, they must have tried to show him the trophy cabinet.

1742: DONE DEAL
One of the ones we were waiting for... Fulham have completed the signing of 28-year-old Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak on a permanent deal. More details to follow on this one.

Good move by Fulham, think they will give us Dempsey?

1908: BREAKING NEWS OF A DONE DEAL
Sunderland have completed the loan signing of Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos from Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg until the end of the season. The 32-year-old former Liverpool only left Anfield last summer.

Chris beat me to it, I for one will applauded the **** out of him as he was not the best, but he never complained and always put a shift in. Never let the problems with the club get to him. Plus there is that epic picture of him in a warrior suit.

Supporter's will alway's take to player's that try their hardest and Soto alway's gave 100%, if some of theese young player's that are looking for £50,000 a week before they even kick a ball for the first team had his attitude they would go far in the game.

Sessegnon had ANOTHER class game last night...would love to see him come in this summer. Would be realistic if we don't get top 4.

Poulsen- No Reds Return.

Christian Poulsen has insisted there is no chance of him returning to Liverpool at the end of his one-year deal with Evian. The Denmark international made the move to France last summer after failing to hold down a place in the side at Anfield. He will have to think about his future when the season-long agreement comes to an end in May, but one option he has already ruled out is a return to Anfield.

At 31, Poulsen is more interested in setting up a stable home for his family and has indicated that he would like to remain with Evian beyond the summer.

"From the start I stated I would finish the season here. Nowadays I say I could remain after the summer," the midfielder told L'Equipe.

"Moreover, I have three children. It is difficult for them to change city all the time.

"Liverpool? It is over for me there. If I was a 25-year-old it could be different, but I will be 32 and I am not interested in being a number 20 player. Here, when I talk to a player, I know it could be helpful. I feel more important here than at Liverpool."

Evian were only promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of last season and have performed well so far to occupy a place in mid-table, but Poulsen is keen for the club to push on and build on the recent signing of his fellow Denmark international Thomas Kahlenberg.

"This season we are discovering Ligue 1, so it is logical to aim for survival, but from next season we have to aim higher," he said.

"It is important the club shows it doesn't want to stagnate. I hope the sponsors and the officials have the same objectives and they will invest in the team. This winter, we hired Kahlenberg, we have to go on that way."

<laugh> <doh>

And the award for the worst piece of journalism goes to Patrick Haond of Sky Sports! I guess Patrick here failed to research that Poulsen left Liverpool on a permanent deal to Evain. He signed a one-year contract at the French side so he isn't on loan.

So this summer we could be looking at a replacement for Suarez....ideas everyone..?

Refuse to believe it. And if we sell him, I refuse to believe we'll make any progress next season. we need to build on what we've got, not sell the only bloody person that brings some spark and magic to the team (bar bellers who will be knackered by the season end). Can just see us selling Suarez and spending the money on some ****ing average brit
