Indian owners tend to be very shrewd owners only in it for financial reasons. If it was a barmy arab sheik dude on the other hand, id be spunking in my pants.

Morning all

Read the story with interest as I know you all hate Cashley. The bit that really set me up for the whole day was the quote at the end by Alan Partridge.....

"Mike will only do sell if it allows the club to be in a much better financial *position than it is now"

I will ensure I say a quiet word of thanks to the "big man" at this mornings service for such a gem - hope I don't get struck by a bolt of lightning!!

Hope this is just abother sunday morning tale.

I know Mike ashley isn'y popular, but i would rather have him than a relative unknown. Better the devil you know.

He has cocked up along the way, but we are in as strong a position now than we have been since SBR was sacked.

Lets just see how the summer goes and hope we can grow again next season.

There is no comparison between the Venky's and Anil Ambani.... The Venky's financially are a drop in the ocean compared to the Ambani brothers and they'd be more like a Chelsea/Man City owner with their cash. Be the best thing ever if it were true but the same rumour came around a couple of years back... But hey, here's hopings still.

Chronicle have said it's a load of ****.

NEWCASTLE UNITED are not in talks with Indian tycoon Anil Ambani over the possible sale of the club.

Reports on Sunday morning suggested that United will be the target of a £200million bid from the billionaire businessman, who was also thought to have an interest in United three years ago.

Ambani has been tipped to bid for the Magpies once their Premier League safety has been secured.

Ambani is chief of Reliance ADA group but Newcastle have distanced themselves from any such takeover talk.

A United source told the Chronicle: "There are no truth in these reports.

"It's all news to anybody here."
