maybe he does need your advice as i think he might be tempted..i agree with everything you have said..hope Harry does too..however if he does go it will be when Spurs are ready for him to go or he resigns...and i think there will be some good names in the hat for his replacement..the stakes have risen much at White Hart Lane in recent seasons.

There's no way Harry is going to turn down England if they approach him. You can bet that they are talking to him now.

My opinion is that he will work part time with England up until the Euros, with Bond and Allen taking more duties at Spurs and then Redknapp will join the FA full time.

The'll probably give it to Stuart Pearce until the end of the Euros. He's in position and been around the squad.

They can then consider him (if he does okay) and all other candidates after the Euros.

Can't see Harry taking it right now and dont think Spurs would be happy at the idea of combining both jobs. Also think its too short a window till the start of the Euros for him to take it at the end of season.

They can't talk to him Piskie. Not until the club say so. Sorry to disappoint you, I know you are probably bashing one out with glee. Put it away son.

Stuart Pearce? To manage England the senior squad in a major tournament? no way. If a temp manager is put in for Harry it'll be until the Euros (with Harry managing over the Euros) not afterwards

Is it a coincidence that jobless Sven has been talking up Redknapp as the next England manager today?
    I don't think so.

Putting aside your uncouth assessment and if you can, your club loyalties for a moment - would you agree that Redknapp looks like the most probable England manager ?

At the moment he is going from strength to strength with Spurs. He has built a brilliant squad, got your in the Champions League last season and built on that this season with consistancy in the league. I don't think Spurs will win the league this season or even next season but 3rd this year is beyond anything he could have hoped for I think. The fact he has Spurs still in with a shout of the title is brilliant. Next season he will have Champions League football and a squad to try and build on this season and then who knows? Season after that you might be attracting players that City have been signing.

If he manages England he's not going to change anything, he will find a bunch of players not willing to work as hard as they do at their clubs and wilt under the pressure from the media. Unfortunately I think he will take the job after the season is finished and he won't get anywhere near as far as he would have gotten with Spurs.

I wonder if it's a coincidence that Redknapp being found not guilty and Capello leaving occured on the same day?

I think the majority of Spurs fans expected him to go at the end of the season - I'd be more than a little annoyed if he just went now, leaving us royally in the ****.

I doubt it. Capello may have been offered an incentive to leave.
I don't think that Eriksson's comments about Redknapp being the new England manager are a coincidence, either.

Clearly not as much of a cynic as me! <laugh>

I just find it very odd - admittedly the Capello meeting was scheduled for today (and the jury could've decided on Redknapp last night or after today). The 'Redknapp for England' campaign started up basically straight after the not guilty verdict though.

Stuart Pearce will be the interim manager.

  16. I have never been a fan of Capello, but it's a shame that he finds it apparently necessary to resign on a point of principle concerning an individual (Terry) who has no principles whatsoever.
Oh no, that's not a shame, that's ironic!!

Think Harry could be the next England manager. But he would be mad to leave Spurs in the position they are currently in. He has a chance to win the premier league and he will never get that chance again most likely. would feel really bad for you guys if he did up and leave to take the england job

Could you envisage a scenario where he manages the team part time with Stuart Pearce, at least until the summer ?
