Of course it's hard work Luke, you spend all your time on the Spurs board, a team you do not support. We would all love to know why.

Did you plan this or did it just creep up on you?

The chances of that being answered truthfully are about the same as getting an answer as to whether there is any other life in the universe

Any idea why we named Simon Dawkins in our 25-man squad, yet it's Cameron Lancaster whose made the bench for the last couple of games?

Probably for a similar reason to Alnwick being named in the last squad.
They just happened to be there!
Almost certain not to play, but there's no downside to naming him in there, as far as I can see.

I bumped into a cross-eyed bloke the other day
"You should look where you're going" he said
I told him to fuk off, and that he should go where he's looking! :D

Thank you, artist formerly known as 'Ensil'. I assume you're referring to the little foray I had against one of Liverpool's finest Grade-A planks?

I've so had it up to 'here' with that lot this season (as, I believe, have most inhabitants of our planet), that I actually decided to join the 'signature' club, dedicating it to a particularly well thought-out, reasoned and logical argument of a scouse (see above...and now below too!). Hence my 'testing 123 post'.

I think that the attitude displayed by the followers of a number of other clubs is that they are beginning to be a little worried about us as we have achieved what we have without a rich benefactor coming in, with a comparatively small ground, without having to spend a fortune (in some case an ill-advised fortune) in the transfer market and without shouting about it. En route we have won over a number of critics, are spoken of favourably by the (unbiased) media and have demonstrated that success is possible without selling our soul.

The truth of the matter is that followers of clubs that used to be our superiors are now embarrassed that they are now inferior to us - the followers of these clubs have to clutch at any straw they can to try to belittle us - unfortunately, for them, they fail, because we are Spurs and we set standards others can only ever dream of achieving.

This reminds me of that May Day in 1961.
The Duchess of Kent asks Danny Blanchflower why does the other team have their names on their backs?
Danny answers:- "well,we know each other your highness.....!"

We know our Spurs,too.

The second piece of today's news to make my day...

UFC star Pearson offers to fight John Terry

Former England captain John Terry has been targeted for a potential charity fight by one of the country's leading mixed martial artists, Ross Pearson.

Terry has found himself at the centre of a media storm over the past week, after the FA opted to strip him of the England captaincy. The Chelsea man has been accused of racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, but when his trial date was set for after Euro 2012, the FA decided to act by standing down the skipper. Terry has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The FA's decision continues to dominate the back pages of English newspapers, after England boss Fabio Capello angrily stated that he still considers Terry to be his captain. The Italian now faces a Wednesday meeting with his employers to sort out the disagreement.

Pearson, who is one of England's most successful representatives across fight sports, currently finds himself in contention for a featherweight title shot in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Should he one day achieve his goal of winning UFC gold, he will become the first Briton in history to do so.

The Sunderland-born fighter is convinced Terry should have taken the decision upon himself to stand down as England captain, until he can clear his name at the July trial. And Pearson admits a charity fight against the Chelsea man, in the style of Ricky Gervais' clash with Grant Bovey five years ago, would appeal greatly.

"I think it was the right decision [to strip Terry of the armband], definitely," Pearson told Fighters Only magazine.

"The right approach would have been to stand up, be a man, resign the captaincy while this scandal and investigation is going on and then, if he is cleared, he could take it up again instead of dragging the England captaincy through the mud the way it is now.

"Sometimes you see these charity boxing matches and so on? I think it would be great if the UFC did something like that and I think there would be a LOT of people who would like to see me go up against John Terry if they did. I would soon knock some sense into him.

"Or let me play in one of these charity football matches against him, I'd definitely put a few good tackles in on him and give him a knock or two, see how tough he is then."

Real Madrid are after RVP just made a thread on Arsenal board about it.I expect to be laughed at and accussed of being a WUM,but oh well.Anyway that is what the papers are saying in Spain.
Hopefully getting some of them off our backs about Harry and the England job.
