That's exactly what I was thinking of! Pretty much sums up the general opinion of NASCAR/Indy...

To try to suggest driving in an oval is more skillful than F1 (I find both unbearably boring so I'm free of bias) is absurd.

In fairness, there are different skillsets involved in oval and track racing, with drafting etc etc, but yes, in general it's absurd.

Undeniably, but anybody could tell which is the more skillful variation of driving!

Also I think Fran said earlier she'd like to see how they all did in the same car? They tried this with A1, didn't they?

Yes, but again A1 was really a substandard series with substandard drivers, hence lack of sponsorship, hence it fell down a whole. The star turn there was Nelson Piquet Jnr who, though capable, is hardly going to uproot trees!
