For goodness sake his brother (in his eyes) was racially abused. Rio is only human. What do you expect him to do? Sorry Anton I know you are upset and my brother but hey I shook his hand anyway despite what I think he said about you.
You really are dense aren't you! are you sure your a moderator? They do boo him but on this occasion we gave him the big one for his snide rat arsed comments on the BBC interview. He's a massive **** like his brother.
What a wonderful human being you are. Anton allegedly gets racially abused and yet Terry the alleged offender is the victim. What a prat you are.
Frankly as ticket paying fans we can boo who we like. Same way our players have had to put up with booing from rival (and even England) fans.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas said: "You have to condemn it when there is discriminatory, aggressive behaviour but you don't expect opposing fans to cheer your players. This is a normal situation in the Premier League. We know the situations. We know we have to play a part. "If we want to push on this sequence of events to extend in the future, it's up to us. It's up to me and it's up to you in the press. If you want to give importance to situations like this, if you let people take responsibility, assume responsibility and the fans and the knowledge that maybe what they were doing makes no sense, it's better but to try to prevaricate isn't right.'' Ferdinand shrugged off the booing on Twitter: "I got booed by the CFC fans today....well done guys thanks for inspiring me and the lads! That's like fuel to me!'' When asked if it was a relief Terry was not going to be playing, Ferdinand had replied: "Not really. I couldn't care less if he played or not. I just think about playing for Manchester United and winning the game. I let the media talk about it, go on about it and create the storm. "Anton is my little brother. We have grown up together and I looked after him when we were kids. If something is going to affect him and hurt him, I am always there as a shoulder to lean on. In moments like this, when things are so public and you can't really say anything, it can be frustrating. "For my family, yes, it has been tough. At the end of the day, my brother has not brought any accusations to anyone. He is not the accused. But he has had to sit there and take abuse from some small-minded people, which has been very disappointing." nuff' said
Gazautd - good post. What a git Rio is. I mean imagine, sticking up for your baby brother especially when he's done nothing wrong!!
I think it's funny how he tries to say it was 'fuel' for his performance. 3 goals conceded against our inept forward line. Yeah Rio, you were a rock!! Luckilly Rooney and Webb saved your arse. Good of him to turn down the England captainsy as well. Probably knows he wont be going anyway.
Weren't 2 of your goals deflections? Oh well you need luck to score sometimes. Webb saved our arse? What a penalty which even AVB agreed was a penalty and a 2nd yes while soft are unfortunately given up and down the league by all different ref's.
And. Your booing him because he's a ****(in your eyes),but mainly because his brother is involed with a race trial with (Ex)Captain Britain and you lot ain't happy.Don't dress it up
Bottom line, he was in charge of that defence and we scored 3 times something we haven't looked like doing for a long time. Fuel?!?!? Wish Rio played against us when we played Norwich, Swansea and QPR. We might of then got more than 2 goals in 3 games. The 2nd pen is soft and most refs wouldn't have given it having just given the 1st one. If they were the other way round you could understand it more but having just given one, you'd have to be a 100% sure it was a pen to give another. Webb simply couldn't have been that sure.
You lot appear to be keen about Rio. Anyway increasingly IMO these type of spot kicks are being given. Have you seen the one City got awarded for Baird's foul on Johnson? Total disgrace.
If Rio kept his gob shut, he wouldn't have been booed, regardless of the Anton issue. Why do you care, not like it effected his performance
C'mon...You know he only gave it because he got his "Fergie bonus" at 1/2 time! It's true.It must happen!! Heaven forbid he actually made up his own mind and decided (after seeing Johnsons effort on Saturday)that it did warrent a penalty.FFS..This is the same ref who judged Lescotts forearm smash as fair play.
Confirmed dumwit If Anton was allegedly abused and was Terry allegedly the offender then until it is adjudicated on its all hypothetical as the nonce who phoned the old bill after seeing it on TV couldn't have heard any alleged remarks and as he/she is probably not a lip reading expert any evidence given will be torn to shreds allegedly Which makes Anton and the twittering twat of a brother Plug massive ****s hypothetically.
Show me where Anton has come out and made comments in the media about Terry? He has given evidence on what happened and the courts will decide. Rio is entitled to an opinion about what happened to his brother.
