for me, fox is the key to our team playing well - i've been saying it for ages. he keeps it simple but he dictates the pace the team play at and everything goes through him, with his calm, controlled passing. i know he can't play all the time - there are occasions where brute force is required, but more often than most i would be inclined to build the team around david fox.

Bang on the money there, the most underrated player in our team. Whenever Fox plays he unlocks everyone else in the midfield you'll see players like Wes working their magic, Pilkington and Surman making runs and getting into positions, without Fox I don't think the midfield is effective as it should be not only does he keep possession and distribute the ball about, but he improves the shape of the team as without him we sit too deep and this is when your Hoolahans etc have an absolute Weston.

I would just like you to find somewhere on this thread where I have told you (superman) that you don't know what you're talking about or that you know 'Jack'. We have crossed swords before and it's mostly been reasonable. But I don't know what gives you the right to come out with these statements just because I disagree with you or have a opposite view. I will repeat that you seem to think you are the boss man on here and anyone who has opposing views is in some way inferior.
Just so you are aware, I have watched and supported Norwich City probably before you were born. I played at semi pro level and represented my County (Norfolk). I also managed and trained semi pro teams. I also have a couple of F.A badges. Still I don't know 'Jack' about football!!!
For everyone else who thinks I'm in some way having a go at the team or club etc......

Paul Lambert is a fantasic manager and has my total and utter support.
Steve Morison is a valuable member of our team and club.
Grant Holt is a super star.
John Ruddy is a much improved keeper this season and deserves his place in the team.
Delia Smith has my undying love and thanks for saving my beloved club.
I love my club and will support it till I die.
I reserve the right to my opinions without being rude or insulting.
I guess thats about it, the only other thing I can offer is my blood and my club could gladly have some.

Try not to be a bully Superman.

Now say all that, but without the attitude this time please!! Lol

sorry ILD if i offended you in any way, but you just seem to be the one poster who is always negative against certain players, without any foundation, as many on here will agree - therefore you must expect confrontation with regards your views. i don't know whether you post that view because you believe it or cos you like an argument but i totally understand why another poster on here thought you were a fairweather fan because your comments come across like one - i know that you are not from previous dealings with you but its obvious to see why some would think that way. not that i ever listen to it, but from heresay, your views are much aligned to the 'canary call brigade' who will find any little gripe to moan about. to be honest i'm pretty offended by your post above. is it worth posting on here anymore if people are going to suggest i'm a bully just because i speak my mind...? probably not

With respect, I don't know of anyone on here who objects to people speaking their mind about football. What people object to is when it turns personal e.g. accusing someone who has criticised a tactic or player of knowing nothing about football; likewise, accusing someone of being a fairweather fan on that same basis. All we need to do is cut out the personal stuff and get on discussing footie. <ok>

And no, I'm not applying for the currently vacant post of assistant moderator! <laugh>

As you might imagine, someone is already considering whether or not to accept!

You, Robbie, have brought yourself to the foremost of the remainder! <ok>

I've got to take issue with what ILD has written, and actually what he has done repeatedly through every post on 'not'.

ILD, for goodness sake, what you've written here is simply unacceptable. You call yourself a fan, tell us how long you've been going to Carrow Road and defend your opinion. But you can't defend the indefensible, and what you've written (or rather failed to write) is indefensible!

So tell me this ILD, where has the 'CBE' gone form your signiture??:wink:

I blame Paul Lambert for problems of differing views. Because just about everything he's touched has turned to gold for us, we tend to agree on here quite a lot of the time. That means when a dissenting voice appears on an issue, it can seem a much bigger thing than it really is.
I'm very much in the pro Morison camp, but I can see where ILD is coming from, I just don't agree with him on this issue.

Does the last line of that win 'bland post of the month'?<whistle>

Exile, I'm not in the anti Morison camp, never have been. If people actually read what I've written they will see that I think his best position is down the middle in the box scoring goals, which he is very good at. I just don't like to see him playing wide, I don't think thats his best position. Are you saying that I can't have a opinion on that?
Yes I call myself a fan because I am one, and no I've never rang Canary call!
I appreciate that you don't agree with me, you don't have to as you have your own views, thats fine I'm not saying anything about that at all, this is a Forum for discussion after all.
Apparently I don't know "JACK" about football, this has come from an assumption of a few written comments, not from someone who knows me or understands my feelings towards my club. I found that very rude and un-neccessary. I don't think I've ever resorted to that sort of thing.
There's no sinister meaning behind the dropping of "CBE" just lazyness I suppose. Do you understand why I put it on there in the first place?
I've replied to this because of your last sentence, at least you seem to have some understanding of why we're on here. Thank you for that.

ILD, you've rather misunderstood. My opening paragraph in relation to you was simply tounge in cheek about dropping the 'CBE', not an attack on you or your views. It's a send up of some of the criticism some of us get fro taking an opposing view. If you read it through again, I think you'll see what I meant. The wink at the end was meant to make it clear <ok>

I wasn't implying you were anti Morison, I simply used to 'pro' in relation to the role he fulfils for us. That's all.

Sorry Exile, I just feel a bit battered at the moment, so I'm reading things that aren't there, plus I'm supposed to be working!!!!!!!
Thanks for explaining it.
