This SOPA thing is a joke. I've got a mind to learn how to hack just to piss off the FBI...

You do realise the FBI have software sniffing all over the internet Jersey?
Searching for word combinations like HACK and FBI !
IF you had added terrorism and al-Qaeda.
They would already be knocking on your door.

They reckon it's 100x more powerful than Googles search engine.

As to the OP no matter what the Yanks do or try, no one can control the internet now.
Too many countries in the world wont jump on to Americas paranoia bandwagon.

You realise you used all four words in the same post don't you... And by quoting you so have I... I hope I get a small bastard for a cell mate.

They threaten trade restrictions if they dont comply.

In the Megaupload case, off the top of my head.

USA, UK, Australia, NZ, Hong Kong, Canada, Holland, Germany, France all participated in the takedown (there may have been more as well). But it is getting harder and harder to find a "safe" country, that has decent BW and doesnt charge the earth for servers.

What i find a bit ironic is, they use their own taxpayers money, to go after sites, which are basically threatening the USA (or so they make you believe), They should say, you pay for it, we will do the ground work, or just tell them to **** off.

Yeah i know, I can understand why a lot dont like it, i have watched it on and off since 1985, 49`ers fan, and they were so close this year, but i will still be watching the superbowl with a few buds (prefer Guiness, but Bud is cheaper)

Aye it's a strange one, the thing is they will use this sort of thing as an excuse to shut down sites they don't like too. Not illegal ones but ones that don't toe their line.
Hopefully European governments have the balls to tell them to do one.

I feel like I have ust entered a strange new world reading this thread. Please spare a thought for those of us who have just masterd cut and paste, photobucket and sky plus.
