not even the most optimistic Hammer would say that. But Spurs fans have to be laughed at, they are the trappiest fans in the EPL by a loooong way, you'd think they'd been title challengers for the last 30 years.

<applause> So True

Who Spurs? To finish above Arsenal and Chelsea? Yes I know thanks <ok>

But unlike yourselves we base success/failure on what we win/don't win as opposed to who we finish above <ok>

success does depend on who you finish above in the league..the more teams you finish above the better placed you will be.

ill try to get a graph made for you so you understand how the league works

<laugh>

Can you burn it on DVD and post it to me?
And post a copy to Three Point Lane too: they haven't understood how the league works for six decades.

True to an extent, if a team does this CONSECTUTIVELY then what you said is true. So far you haven't done it in a long long long long long long time.

Mmmm.

I think the key difference is we want to finish above 19 teams and therefore win the league where as I suspect you'd happilly finish 15th as long as Chelsea and Arsenal were 16th and 17th.

If and when you have a few years out of our shadows then perhaps you will view things a little different. I think the phrase is small club mentality. If you don't agree, why are you not on the City board?

Because they have zero chance of catching City after being outclassed by them twice.

Personally I can't give a stuff about who else finishes in the top four with us. I just get a bit annoyed with fans who think that their club will stay 'big' for ever based on recent history. All the current top teams have been relegated in my lifetime apart from Arsenal, who themselves were midtable for long periods (and see my signature for how close they got to dropping out of the PL).

True but some of your fellow Spurs fans think there is some sort of power shift in London based on football since August!! Now that's recent recent recent history.

They thought that last Feb when Pienaar picked them over us.

The status quo is more rigid now than it used to be with CL money. It is harder to break in; and in theory, FFP rules should ironically protect Chelsea and City and the status quo, by stopping others buying their way up the ladder.

In reality it won't; and other clubs will buy success
