Has anybody heard of a possible loan move for him saw somebody mention it on HDM site and thought it was proberly rubbish but they said he was mentioned on the radio. Can anyone shed any light on this?
I noticed the post you refer to: News on the mystery loan midfielder as disclosed by Adam Pearson on Humberside: Micheal Johnson Man City sat in West stand where Bullard used to sit! Walkington Tiger, Walkington I didn't hear Adam's interview, so I've no idea what he said, but I got the impression from Nigel's interview after the game that there was another player we were looking at. There was talk of him going Leeds or Leicester, but with Weeds now having signed Bannan, I can't see them being in the running. He'd be a brilliant addition, not only is exactly the sort of player we need, but it will really piss off the white ****e(he's a Leeds fan).
It wouldnt piss us off, we have a talk quality player in Bannan, Johnson is another City hasbeen who has a long list of injuries
Quality signing i think, it wasnt so long ago that he was being touted as the next big thing. As the TWS WUM suggested he has been injured abit but this didnt stop Ramsey at Cardiff did it? Plus i think this would clear the way to drop Harper and this makes my day and season complete
Would definitely be a good addition to the squad and perhaps he could have the same impact as Bullard is having at Ipswich as long as he stays fit.
Cheers OLM i hadn't listened to either of their interviews so hadn't heard of a hint of a new signing. I do think he would be a good signing but who of the loan players will be dropped from the squad if we were to sign him, Hobbs seems the most likely
These are the words of Brian Kidd from a couple of weeks ago: “The last two weeks, Michael has come on in leaps and bounds. He’s done really well. I think the next couple of weeks will be interesting. I was at the reserve game against Bury a couple of weeks ago, and he was terrific. “He’s looking really good in training now. He’s getting his feet again, and his aerobic base is there now. “What he’s looking for is the quickness, and he’ll get that from playing games. If you go into a game not thinking about the problems you’ve had, it’s a different scenario and you can get that quickness back. “He’s done really well, and that’s pleasing, because Michael’s had a tough time.”
Who's mod'ing this site? Any chance you can delete the thoughts of knobs from TWS, or at least add some caviat/cautionary note to warn readers that the thoughts of the writer may reflect ****philiac behaviour
Now, now OLM, you might get complaints from individuals for using the c**** word!!!! Mackem says it all !!!!!!
Leeds and Leicester have been in for him. Can't see why he'd want to go to Hull to be honest, especially considering he's a Leeds fan and actually came out in the national press saying his favoured loan destination would be Elland Road. Only obstruction to that is that Mancini wants to keep him at Eastlands for the time being.
Well didn't you bring Bannan in instead. Possibly he wants to come to a top half championship club knowing he'd get game time and get himself fit again? Seems rather straightforward to me.
Bates has publicly stated that we are still looking for more loanees to bring in, and we are fairly thin in central midfield (one injury to Kilkenny and one more yellow card for B Johnson and we'd be ****ed), so M Johnson could still come yet. There's also the fact that Villa can recall Bannan within 28 days, so Johnson would still be a good cover option even if he's not fully match fit.
I said if he's not fully fit, if he is, he'd walk into our team. If we're still in for him, which any sane club would be (and except for Bates and Harvey we are mostly sane), he'll come to us without hesitation. Not sure how you lot would afford him if you're having Bullard back anyway, or indeed why you'd need him.
I'm trying to allow banter to take place, I appreciate that the current wumming is of a poor standard, but hopefully things will improve. Apparently, the Michael Johnson we're signing isn't the one at Man City, it's one who can get down the full length of the right wing in 2.3 seconds.
Missed one season with an abdominal injury, then picked up a bad knee injury upon his return and missed another season.
