It lost it's airborne status for a few years solely due to defence cutbacks, it was never anything to do with the RLC (jokingly called the Rather Large Corps) though, that lot was formed in 1993, a good few years after I left the mob.

If you read it properly you will see that 7RHA were deployed in an "infantry" role, I should know. We did have Cooks though, they "cooked" as one would expect, sadly (or fortunately depending on your view) I was neither a cook, nor a Chef, simply a lowly "Lance Bombardier" with no specific cooking duties except in the field where I had to make my own scran

I have a valid defence, they had already lost their airborne status when I joined then in 1977, they got it back when i was there, so I suppose it could be argued that it was down to me that we regained the Red beret

Your choice for discussion is very poor taste. The fact that the Paras' leader had not the manners or decency to apologise. His hench men on account of their continuous lie telling (as per instructions from above) and the truth could be ascertained was by legal proof attained by lawyers.
