#LCFC have made an enquiry for #SCFC winger Ben Marshall. Bid expected shortly. Also interest from #Celtic
 
Is he any good - seems to have only really played at League 1 level.

On another note Megson really wants him - lets get him just for that!
 
I think we are looking at him but only as a replacement for Stewart, do you think you'll come back with an improved offer closer to the end of the month for Stewart? If so what do you think the offer would be or the offer we would possibly accept?
 
If he doesn't want to stay at Stoke, then I would say it would be between us and Hull to get his signature. In terms of 1st team football, he'd probably have a better chance here. In terms of playing PL football ASAP i.e. next season, then Hull is probably a better bet. In terms of wages, we could probably offer him better terms than Hull. It's all down to what the player wants.

But I would love to see him here.

I'm quite excited from what i've heard from this lad.

Exactly what we've missed.

That'll never happen though.

Personally i'd prefer Marshall even at the same price. He seems to be a more direct winger who can run at players and put himself about which is what's needed for this competitive league.
 
I want Marshall plus another winger. I dont want Stewart as i dont think we will get decent value for money. We would be best off either going elsewhere or going back in the summer

I don't want to start another daft argument, but on what basis do you make that judgement?

I only ask, as I watch almost every televised game and to my knowledge, I've never actually seen Marshall play. I've heard he's a handy player, I have mates who are Wendies and rate him, but unless you've been sneaking to Wednesday games, I can't actually see how you'd know anything much about him?
