Also, what good would it do, saying 'We don't need him here'. I've not been happy with him, especially recent tweets regarding NC, but if they can give him a chance, I'm damn sure I can. So, lets try not to dwell on whats been said, it could take a long while.
I don't like the guy for his personality and the way he comes across in his Tweets over the past few months. That said, I won't boo him, nor will I cheer him. He's here to get to the Premier League, but so is everyone, that is what Tadanari has said too! I will reserve judgement until he has played over 10 games, he was great in his first couple of months last time, then tailed off. Good luck Punch, not necessarily because I am your biggest fan, but because we need to move onwards and upwards and if you will commit, good.
Explains why we didn't let him go when the offers came in. The Don was always willing to forgive, it was up to Jason to make the move. Lets hope he delivers the goods. He is a good player who can make an impact. Question is where does Holmes fit in now?
Skeptical. I personally would have dismissed him after hitting out at the chairman, you just can't do that. However this could provide him the impetus to really perform at his best to try and engineer a move come the summer. Hopefully it all works out for the club, don't really give a toss whether it helps Puncheon's career or not.
This is just what we need. And there is nothing wrong with coming from Peckham. He's a footballer, not a gangster, he's just a bit street with his language. Let's hope there is no more nonsense, whatever it was that got him in trouble. Good that he and Lee are on board. Hope they both get support on Saturday.
There is no doubt the lad has a talent and when he puts his attitude right and wants to play for us like he supposedly has said. He will cause problems for defenses in this league every weekend. And Lee coming in and Lambert and Lallana back our attacking options suddenly look rather up beat.
Puncheons natural position was on the right side, cutting in on his left foot. He lost his place to AOC last season but note has the chance with no regular right winger. Think he's a d!ck but hopefully he'll do a decent job. I just hope fans don't boo him!
I think it's inevitable that a section of fans will boo him. Chances are it won't help him at all. I just hate booing at football all together. You might aswell not turn up if your just going to slag the team off etc..
Thought you and him were in contact and he was giving you inside info?? Oh yeah he never spoke to you, must have been an embarrassing moment when that came out.
Great news, but completely unexpected. I never saw it happening. But he's a top player, so I really am over the moon that he's back in the fold. Hopefully I wont be the only person around me in the stands now who stands up to give him a round of applause when he gets subbed (many times last season I found myself in a group of one doing that). That said however, I'm still convinced that there'll be many people out there that will boo him. I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm not expecting to be. Still, at least it might take their attentions away from turning on Guly.
He can do a job for sure. Chance for him to showcase himself to NA/potential suitors, which we will benefit from either way.
I'm glad that Puncheon is back in the squad, he is a good player despite whatever happened in the past. It just intrigues me why it took some completely unprofessional behaviour from Puncheon for this to happen; surely they had had a meeting earlier this month so what has changed since then?
